THE WINNING VIDEO: Netta - TOY - Israel - Official Music Video - Eurovision 2018
Israel erupted this weekend into a state of national exhilaration expressed with chicken-inspired dance moves following Netta Barzilais win at the Eurovision song contest.
Fans poured into the streets of Tel Aviv in the early hours of Sunday after the 25-year-old was announced a champion in Lisbon for her techno dance tune Toy, a pop anthem filled with clucks and synthesised beats.
Exuberant crowds blocked traffic and many jumped into the public fountain at Rabin Square in front of city hall to rejoice in the win for the national sensation who had previously sung with the Israeli navy band.
At bars lining the covered Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem, partygoers danced to loudspeakers blaring the track. Many sang the lyrics: Im not your toy, you stupid boy.

Not an inspiring song;
And this puts to rest the rumor that Jews don't have rhythm and can't dance (started by Governor Andrew Cuomo).;-)
Clever electronic operator, more mesmerizing than talented ... imo.
For comparison listen to the 1983 Eurovision runner up song Chai (life) with Ofra Haza. It is permeated with Biblical allusion and inspiration and represents the Jewish people with dignity. This toy song is a mockery.
Like chicken music!?!?!
Wellllll....... Let me introduce you to the Spanish art of Flemenco, particularly Bulerias (sometimes Bulerias de Jerez.) Give a listen and I’ll translate the first verse:

My lil’ grandma’
my lil’ grandma had a chicken.
She raised it
She raised it under the bed
Every time my grandma said, “Chirp!”
The chicken would chirp...
Chirp chirp!
Raw farm life right there!
Its a women’s empowerment song.
In a region where women have no rights, it spoke volumes.
Israel is the only country in the Middle East where women have equal rights and participate in all spheres of society.
Toy spoke to people about the kind of country Israel is.
It’s a great moment in trans empowerment....
Downright bad IMHO. I'd hate to see the losers.
Agreed: unwatchable and unlistenable. Pure, unadulterated garbage! This horrible, so-called song has nothing to do with people, history or current political climate of Israel. It should be forgotten tomorrow by all who had a misfortune (like myself) to hit the Play button...
Wonder if it will replace The Chicken Dance at ball games and weddings.
“This horrible, so-called song has nothing to do with people, history or current political climate of Israel.”
It’s a pop music contest, not a historical news contest. I saw this vid, but with no sound. I agree it looked very, extremely silly. But I think that’s OK given the context.
Erovision is generally a freak show. They claim they’re looking for unusual ‘talent’ but there’s little of that and those who have basic talent are just run of the mil at best.....
Netta was anything but ‘talented’ ...but a ‘show’ obviously if you like that stuff.
