Back in the day, real men were in the FBI. We worked together at Xerox after he left the FBI. Never told me why he left.

Because the FBI has been infiltrated by a bunch of socialists, and are attempting a coup d’ etat?

Subversion or sedition is a serious offense, and should be punishable by death.

The desperation of the leftists, especially the ones who where planted by the obama administration, is quickly reaching panic mode. They are lashing out at any and all accusations in an attempt to avoid the firing squad.

In the mean time, the people have lost faith in the ability of the DOJ and FBI to perform their lawful duties.

These people deserve what is coming to them, and either the executive branch cleans house, or the people will.

They have to be more responsive to the people because of the frequency of elections.

Increase house terms to three years; decrease senate terms to five.

The whole goal is to eliminate the career politician, forever. If they can’t become fabulously wealthy on a $170k salary while lining their pockets selling influence, only those who truly wish to SERVE will participate.

Interesting suggestion.

Regardless of term lengths, I definitely want to see term limits of some kind. The Founders never imagined that people would live so long or could foresee a class of professional politicos who would become entitled careerists.

The Founders did know, however, that power corrupts and the longer people hang around in Washington the more they are likely to defend the system that feeds them.

Any limits would be welcome.

I can’t see that Halper can be characterized as an “inside agent”. He was almost certainly an ‘agent’ and was sniffing around for info on Trump’s campaign, but I haven’t seen any evidence that he was ‘inside’ the Trump campaign.
Carter Page appears to me to have been inserted so as to trigger the Russian collusion excuse for the FISA.

And Page, the TARGET of the FISA warrants has never been charged.

Yet, the FISA warrants were renewed 3 times?

Carter Page.

History of working FOR the FBI.

The problem with term limits is that the elected politicians are then more dependent on unelected bureaucrats (see the Brit sitcom show "Yes, Minister" for a good look at this issue -- entertaining, too.)

The problem with getting the FBI out of the intelligence game is: Who does US counter-intelligence against Chinese spies, Muslim terrorists etc. I agree that the FBI has behaved very badly in recent years, both its criminal side, and its counter-intelligence side. It therefore probably does not deserve to survive.

If you step back and look at all the puzzle pieces the entire picture comes into focus.

I’m not a Conspiracy nut.

However, I do consider what is both possible and probable in light of information that we know to be true.

IMHO, The FBI/DOJ/Hillary/Obama et al,, at the highest level, conspired to Spy on Trump. Conspired to overturn a Trump election victory to both protect themselves and reassert their control.

The only thing that is missing?

Whistle blowers to this conspiracy.

There seems to be a dozen or so high level players and each of them certainly have staff members that know what has transpired. Maybe the IG’s investigation will have found them. Finding them and getting their testimony on the record and out in public will be needed to wrap this up.

What I want?

At the end of the day, I want Vindication.

I want CNN to say; “WOW, it turns out that Hillary/Obama etc are a bunch of self serving criminals that lied and manipulated the media to enrich themselves and retain power”.

That's along the same lines I've been thinking BobL - this ain't their first rodeo at using intel resources against political opponents. It was probably so routine that they were predisposed to sloppiness at covering any tracks - typical of bureaucrat schmucks. Until they ran into someone who knew the game better than they do, and now the fact is exposed that we've been no better than any given banana republic. All that corrupt apparatus has to be burned to the ground and the earth salted where it once stood. There's no excuse for inaction against it - and anyone who balks is suspect as being part of it.

Thanks. What Trump SHOULD do if he wants to get these guys outed and dealt with is threaten to CUT THEIR BUDGET, deeply. If the little guys see they’re facing job losses, perhaps they’ll be a bit quicker to speak up.

Remember, we say that the boys and girls at the top levels were corrupt - but they weren’t the ones intercepting the phone calls and E-Mails, it was the people at the WORKER LEVEL - they are just as culpable because THEY did the leg work. I suspect that half of them are flaming Leftists, so they’re all-in on this crap - but the OTHER HALF is likely afraid to speak up - those are the ones that need to be dealt with, with a carrot and a stick.

It is a pathetic joke that many of our “leaders” (and their followers ) are criminals and seditionist traitors .

Trumps lawyers have concluded if Trump were to declassify everything, they would then come after him for obstruction of justice

I heard it on Rush, his lawyers are currently Stuck on Stupid, If Half or more of the Leadership of both parties were Arrested and Charged with Treason, along with the entire DOJ,FBI,CIA from the previous Administration, and everyone else involved including Hillary and company and the MEDIA types that participated, there would only be Sessions left to claim Obstruction of Justice.

Spot on. Not at all unlike their weaponizing the IRS against conservatives. Just doing what they’ve done for a long time.

Bureaucrats have no ethical problems when it comes to defending their fiefdoms and careers. Power corrupts.

You make a very good point: “the boys and girls at the top levels were corrupt - but they weren’t the ones intercepting the phone calls and E-Mails.”

****************

Nunes should have made it widely known that he was going to go down the food chain looking for the operators who carried out the illegal assignments. Once the underlings perceive their exposure and personal vulnerability to legal charges, some of them would start turning to protect their jobs and keep them out of jail.

Drilling down would also make some of the boys and girls at the top levels become a little more forthcoming knowing that those beneath them might be providing damaging information about the orders they were giving.
