I think the poster meant the part of the corpse of El Cid being tied up on his horse, not the virtues of the living El Cid.

Yep, I understood. Great analogy—sorry my post wasn't clear on that point!

Yes, McCain is strapped in the saddle for the last ride.

Generally when people are facing death, and if they have a moment to reflect, there is usually a sense of reconciliation, a sort of letting go. But McCain will have none of that. He is evil and hateful to the core, and hellbent on leaving as much damage as he can before he checks out.

The most frightening thought was posited by another Freeper who suggested that he is being kept alive until June 1st so that the Governor will appoint Meghan or Cindy to fill out his term. Either one would be a supercharged John McCain nightmare with the added horror of being fueled by female hormones.
