Liberals celebrate diversity as if it were some wonderful, 100% positive thing. They are wrong, as history has shown time and again (India before the partition, the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, etc., etc.).
But neither is diversity a 100% bad thing. It is instead simply a reality of life, a reality that must be minimized in a gentle way (the melting pot idea).
As an example, consider a US neighborhood made up of 10 different ethnic groups. Conservatives would suggest that those groups learn English as soon as possible.
Liberals would demand (not just suggest, but demand) that all signs in the neighborhood be printed in 10 different languages.
And that’s exactly what tears nations apart.

I dont speak Italian nearly as well as I should because my parents said “we’re in America now. We speak English”
So I picked up what I did from my surviving grandparents.
Do I think it’s awful to teach a second language in the house? No.
AS LONG as the one you speak outside and FLUENTLY is ENGLISH!
