Sarah Palin Reacts to John McCain's Regrets Over Picking Her as Running Mate: 'Perpetual Gut Punch'

John McCain may have admitted that he regrets picking Sarah Palin as his running mate in the 2008 presidential election, but according to the former Alaska governor, “that’s not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years.”

The one-time Republican vice-presidential candidate told The Daily Mail on Thursday that she feels a “perpetual gut punch” every time she hears reports about McCain’s regrets and that having to read the news every day is “not a real fun thing.”

“I attribute a lot of what we’re hearing and reading regarding McCain’s statements to his ghostwriter or ghostwriters,” Palin said. “I don’t know unless I heard it from Sen. McCain myself.”

She added that McCain has “apologized to me repeatedly for the people who ran his campaign,” adding that some of them “now staff MSNBC, the newsroom there, which tells you a lot.”

I think McShame’s statements and writings, these days, are definitely being generated by a *ghost* writer....as in wifey Cindy.

She’s likely the one who put out the message that he (McStain) would prefer to name his successor....like a dictatorship...and, likely floated her own name, as said replacement.

No thanks, Cindy Lou Who.

See my post #21....I think the goon behind the curtain is none other than his wife, Cindy.

She needs to take her leftist control-freak self and vamoose.

The only reason McCain's numbers came up was because of Palin. When he decided to save the Nation and left the campaign for 3 weeks, his number went down and never came back up.

Also, when his advisers saw that Palin's numbers were better than his they kept her on a short leash.

His campaign was doomed to failure from the beginning.

Perhaps the kindest view is running for President and losing perhaps is like those guys who played football and lost the game on the last play on the one yard line. Some of them dwell on it years afterword, if I had just passed the ball instead of running it we would have won. Or, we should have ran it to the outside.

There are better things to reflect on late in life.

The regret is not taking Lieberman and going down in flames from the get-go, rather than his pick of Palin. Didn’t matter who was number two on the ticket, it wouldn’t have been McCain’s first pick.

Anyone using this to take shots at Palin is ignorant of the fact that the only time McCain was ahead in the polls was in the days after Palin was nominated, when her Star was still rising, before the media and the libs started attacking her and her family. (Remember the whole “Trig is secretly her grandson” attack?)

As much as I admire Palin, I'm not convinced of her rationalization. I'd like it to be true, but the evidence suggests otherwise.

She is showing just how decent a person she is. She is willing to give that lousy JERK a break!

John has brain cancer, is on chemo therapy, and in the emotional state of a 5 year old. The Press loves to print the wallowing of a sick man questioning the choices he has made. Thank God Nancy kept these low life away from Ronny. They live to sow the seeds hate.
They are the minions of the Red horse of the apocalypse, spreading division.

Indeed. She was #2 two on the list for many of us, and McCain had very little to do with the first.

He probably regrets picking her because she outshone him.

Conversely she was always steadfastly loyal to him, never failing to endorse him despite his continual bird-flipping to Conservatives.

Easy to see who the quality human being is here.

Sarah, you were picked because you were a relatively unknown woman who had baggage and little experience. They knew they could play that up. It was all a set up. McLiar’s sole purpose was to get Huusein elected.

Has anyone actually seen McLame in public recently?

Serious Week-end at Bernie’s vibe.

The TRUE reason McPain in the A-- regrets Palin is that she ignited the fire in our bellies to rise and and say NO to the treason, lies, robbery, and deep state group mind screw that was our government. She gave voice to the truth and reconnected us as a group to what our forefathers intended for our great country.

THis led to the tea party's origins. WHich increased the treason of the media regarding Sarah (to silence and mock her) and the people of the United States of America that were now not only speaking the truth. But demanding and facilitating change. THe backlash to the MSM brainwashing was Obama.

ALL of this gave rise to President Trump. Of course he regrets it. She gave the people a voice to put the screws to the theft of our great country in which McPain in the A-- was a huge recipient of.

That was my thought, also. He hasn't been seen in public in months. All indications are he's close to the end. He's probably heavily sedated and unaware of his surroundings, but in the last week or so, "he" has been very vocal about a number of issues. He doesn't want President Trump to attend his funeral. He's opposed to the nomination of Gina Haspel for CIA Director. He's sorry he picked Sarah Palin as his running mate. He wants to name his successor in the Senate Is there any video or audio record to verify that these things actually are coming from McCain? Who are they really coming from?

I remember that as well. Steinbrenner was rarely seen after the 2004 ALCS Red Sox-Yankees debacle.
