No. Think about it. They had the Papadopoulos info. They wanted to see if they could get Trump to bite so they put Page up for bait. It didnt work so they sent Page to Russia to see if he could get info that way as Steele did. That didnt work and then they ask Steele to find out if Page met with anyone in Russia as a test of Steeles work. Steele says he did. I dont know if that was seen as confirmation of Steeles work or refutation. Depends on whether Page met with someone. But in any event the whole thing makes the Page allegations in the GPS dossier pointless since it was all a set up anyway.
What your are describing is an investigator, not an informant.
An informant to me would be someone within Trump’s inner circle.
