“Halper’s September 2016 outreach to Papadopoulos wasn’t his only contact with Trump campaign members. The 73-year-old professor, a veteran of three Republican administrations”

I’m leaning towards Halper too...anyone tied to 3 Republican Administrations (meaning at least one Bush, probably both) almost certainly HATES TRUMP...perfect guy to use to take Trump down."

Yea, that occurred to me after I posted - I had forgotten about Ford (very nice guy, although RINO). Probably still true that he hates Trump - just about everyone in DC with any history as a Republican hates him.

As Jmes Comey: Peter Mayhew, the 7'3" actor who has played Chewbaca in each "Star Wars" film, makes his 6'1" costar Harrison Ford look diminutive.

"Page’s presence in the campaign facilitated the FISA Title 1 Surveillance-wiretapping- and e-mail grabs, Halper achieved nothing."

Halper has been on the US Government payroll as a research firm for years and years.

And a critical fact is: Halper was on the spying job for Brennan long before it was an official inquiry dating back to March 2016. So a paid contractor was making connections between Mifsud, Alexander Downer and Carter Page.

A great article which has the timeline:

Ties That Bind – Stefan Halper, Joseph Mifsud & Alexander Downer (& Papadopoulos)

https://www.themarketswork.com/2018/05/10/ties-that-bind-stefan-halper-joseph-mifsud-alexander-downer-papadopoulos/

Stefan Halper approached Papadopolos out of the blue in September 2016 but the FBI didn't interview him until January 2017, six months after he supposedly triggered a counterintelligence investigation in July 2016.

The Alexander Downer meeting was arranged, not accidental.

Carter Page was invited to a symposium by Halper in London just a few days after he returned from the Moscow trip and met with Halper personally.

UK Intelligence agencies and private intelligence contractors are dripping from Halper and his cronies.

Two key facts: Halper is dirty with the UK intelligence community and Halper was a US Government contractor working for Obummer (and the Hillary campaign) long before the "EC" was actually penned initiating the counterintelligence investigation. The "EC" that Devin Nunes wants and DOJ/FBI doesn't want to give up likely exposes those facts and Halper's contribution.

I’m not too up on Page, but my recollection is that he’s done this spy for hire type gig before.

Truth be told, I don’t care about Page even if he is the spy. The people who sent him, however...very interested in them.

I agree. I think it is Halper as well. I think Halper is the keystone here.

"...The Alexander Downer meeting was arranged, not accidental..."

Yep...you GET it!

And then Halper contacted Popadopoulous again on 9/13/2016 and said: “George, you know about hacking the emails from Russia, right?”

They were getting desperate, because they couldn't get someone on the Trump team to bite and ensnare themselves.

That's why I think it is Stefan Halper. He worked for Republicans too.

Great article here at: Ties That Bind – Stefan Halper, Joseph Mifsud & Alexander Downer (& Papadopoulos)

How was all this surveillance info getting analyzed and funneled to the Witch’s campaign?

Killary was on the reading list of Obama's presidential daily briefing. I suspect they were crass enough to actually report the juicy parts then just as they were later on in the election? As Strzok messaged, POTUS wanted to know everything.

Susan Rice's "memo to self" on inauguration day referencing the earlier meeting attended by Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Rice and Obungo was telling us just the opposite of what the words were saying. Obungo cut loose the hounds at that meeting and triggered the active efforts of bringing the investigation to the surface via Comey's update of Trump re: the salacious parts of the Dirty Dossier and begin the open MSM onslaught against our elected president.

I agree. Halper knew a whole lot of people, too many to ever be questioned by the Nunes Committee, and had been working as a contractor for the CIA in London while having this thin outer cover of being the stodgy Cambridge professor.

Just as Mifsud disappeared days after Papadopoulos was indicted, I think the number one life that would be endangered if Stefan Halper was shown to be working for Brennan in early 2016.....would be Halper himself.

I agree Halper is an attractive candidate, exactly because he is so little known.

But why should they be going to such lengths to protect his identity?

Is he more important in American history, post-1968, than he appears at first impression?

They are protecting his identity because...like all the other redactions and omissions they have dragged their feet on revealing, it has all been for one reason: it is damaging to them.

So they obfuscate, hoping to muddy the waters enough to confuse the public.

And...Halper is hiding in plain sight, IMO. He worked for Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush, I believe, doing various tasks including opposition research. Which makes me believe all the more this is a bipartisan swamp job on Trump.

Halper’s also one of those “bleedingheartattack” folks fixated, like Ratner, Feinstein, Soros, CAIR and McCain, on the treatment of unlawful combatants.

Interesting.

Something else I recently read on Twitter I believe? Stefan Halper has receive nearly $1 million in DoD contracts for "research" over the past 6 years. Now from the little I know about DoD contracts....there has to a raft of folks initiating, approving and authorizing those multiple expenditures. Somebody in DoD has to know why he was being paid such handsome amounts for research and analysis. And somebody is connected back to CIA, FBI, State, Justice or another alphabet authorizing these contracts.

Department of Defense would be a good place to start sniffing around if you wanna know who is funding this lizard. And nobody in a uniform is gonna want to take credit for dirty tricks, so they will be more likely to point fingers in a useful direction.

As the old saying goes...follow the money honey.
