It is said that if someone is to be unpopular, they must look the part. House Republicans appear to have seized that visage for now.
-snip-
A primary loss always sends shockwaves through a party on Capitol Hill. Whos next? Members of Congress are paranoid. They freak out when a greenhorn decapitates one of their own in a primary. Even the House chaplain isnt safe.
-snip-
House Republicans are fretting about losing the House. Theres chatter about a blue wave. Retirements and departures are off the charts. House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., will soon be gone. An eye-popping nine House committee chairmen are exiting.
-snip-
The issue may be how House Republicans decouple themselves from The Swamp.

Seems to most of us that Tuesday's election was a GOOD thing. This is how it works, Fox: When Republicans become too left and Democrat, they get primaried out of Dodge.
And good riddance to bad rubbish...
I was wondering the same thing. I thought things were supposedly pretty good.
I am also confused with the headline. Are they referring to the fact that sitting Congressmen did not prevail in the primaries in West Virginia and Indiana?
Fox News is becoming CNN-Lite. They are, after all, part of the swamp.
Oooooh the blue waaaaaaave !
Yah right
Name one thing demoncraps stand for that’s good
To head off a stampede, you have to get in front of it. By playing “voice of conservatism”, Fox is in the position to take the spirit out of the movement. Maybe that’s what they’re trying to do.
The GOP did just fine the year Eric Cantor was thrown out on his ass, didn’t they?
Perhaps he is talking about turnout. I read that the WV Republican turnout was lower than the Dem turnout.
Fox is now a member of the Anti-Trump Cult
Fake Post
All the reports I watched on Fox the night of the election said just the opposite.
The opening and first paragraph make no sense at all. It's built on a false proposition.
Chad P. and his team suck.
Did the phony conservative Bill Sammon order this story to be written?
It appears Fox News is jealous of CNN’s ‘success’... Attempting to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory? Idiots.
House Republicans had a bad night
GOPe Republicans had a bad night
That's what happens when you don't do your job and don't keep your promises.
West Virginia has closed primaries, and despite its track record of voting for Republicans in presidential elections there are actually a lot more registered Democrats than Republicans in WV.
Is the “Blue Wave” narrative a setup... kinda like “Hillary can’t lose”? When any RINO incumbent gets bounced in a primary... that’s a “Red Wave” moment IMHO.
Seems DeeCee media pundits can’t see past their assumptions, like in 2016, and completely miss the pulse of the common folk... because we’re are “common” and who listens to us (peasants!)? It’s a Fox piece, but I dunno the author Chad Pergram... is he writing what he sees or what he wants?
We’ve all heard to risks of ASSUME.

Q
A few individuls, yes, but there are still Hannity, Ingraham and Carlson plus others who treat the President fairly. When a commentator perceives the President as wrong on an issue, I have no problem with his stating why, since they usually (unlike ABCNNBCBS) allow the other viewpoint.
I have no insight on that.
