Without Sarah Palin on his ticket, McCain would have lost in one of the biggest landslides in American history.

I had just landed in the USA after a trip to Asia and the first thing I heard was that Sarah was selected to be McCain’s running mate. Made the rest of the trip home a pleasure. She’s about the only reason I voted for McCain.

I agree. The only reason I voted for McCain was because if he won, I expected him to die and Palin be president.

Her selection was the ONLY reason that I voted for him.

That single action is the only thing that he has ever said or done that I completely agreed with.

She did more to get out the vote for him than he did. I knew she was an excellent pick when the Democrats panicked and attacked her immediately.

He would have out-rivaled McGovern

Amen. I didn't vote for him, I voted for Sarah, and hoped he'd $hit the bed so she'd become President.

Precisely.

He was the worst GOP presidential candidate in my lifetime and I'm 70. He was terrible.

His campaign was going nowhere until he selected Palin. She immediately brought energy to the race and excited the base. He put them to sleep.

Sarah Palin didn't lose his the election. He did. I voted for the ticket becsuse of her, not him.

Picking Joe Leiberman would have been a mistake. Dim John + slow Joe would not have been a winning ticket against Obama.

My biggest criticism about this whole McPain-dying-thing is that he has the audacity and arrogance to invite and disinvite people to his own funeral, like it's party or something. Only a narcissistic egotist would do that.

There may be a celebration, but it will be from those who are glad this man is finally gone.

My second gripe is the he shows absolutely no class at all by criticizing Palin on his deathbed. He doesn't know what taking the high road means apparently. It shows the shallow pettiness that is John McLame.

Trump had this liberal pegged right off the bat. He's no hero of mine.

True. The landslide he lost by would have paled compared to the landslide he would have lost by had he not picked her.

His statement is that the Joe Lieberman (Dem turned into Indep) would have been the choice. Based on that logic...the 59,000,000 votes would have drifted down to around 35,000,000 and roughly half of all Republicans would have just stayed home and not voted.

You can go back to the young naval officer days and demonstrate that this guy was about as incompetent as you can get....never getting any wiser.

Sarah is the only reason I didn’t skip the presidential race on the ballot that year, because I couldn’t stand him.

Yes, I remember the day Sarah Palin was introduced as his running mate. Sparked a hope in my husband and I, and a question that possibly McCain was not a complete RINO it seemed there was some tiny bit of real conservative in him some where. We had no excitement about McCain the whole election except with that choice. The way she was treated during that campaign by McCain himself and his staff proved to us beyond all doubt he has no conservative thoughts, he is a lefty.

The RINOS are as bad as the left looking for reasons why conservatives woke up...they have no more idea how Trump got elected. Clueless.
