Yeah sorry, not quite.

Make the AR-15 illegal and what you will get is a blackmarket of full auto AR-15’s made in garage machine shops and criminals will own 90% of them.

“...the Dems would turn millions of innocent people into criminals overnight just by decree.”

While blissfully unaware that those millions of innocent citizens are now ARMED criminals.

Cops go to citizen’s door knowing that there is an AR-15 inside the house (How? What registration law?) likely in the hands of an angry owner. Won’t end well.

Seriously? This dude(?) wouldn’t be stacked up because he’s a friggin POG and would be no where near anything that could get him hurt. Stacked? Yeah, right!!

But... let’s just say he does have some teeny tiny balls which manage to pump just a tad bit of testosterone into this pansy-ass’ body and he decides he’s going to lead by example. In that case, I certainly hope he’s #1 and the breecher totally screws the pooch and leaves part of the door intact just to make the funnel a little tighter!!!

“Assault weapons” registration laws in NY, CT, CA, MA, & now NJ. For several years now, complete with televised threats to begin knocking on doors. But hasn’t happened yet. Reason:

Cops like to go home to their families, too.

Wild card: current wave of GVRO laws are being passed & not just in those states. But a judge’s warrant to confiscate does not constitute body armor, if you get my drift.

He probably just bought stock in Colt or some other AR-15 mfg knowing that they were going to get a bump from this.

That's the WHOLE secret of congressmen and senators. They get rich off their own rhetoric.

Kind of my thought as well. Government wants to buy them for a million or two dollars each, I’ll part with most. Need more room in my gun safe anyway.

sorry- they just arrested someone for ‘having an arsenal’ http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/queens-man-arrested-huge-weapons-stockpile-17-guns-article-1.2527173 in NY- and yes, others have been arrested and if a person is investigated by police, and found to have the banned guns, they are then declared felons- no- police aren’;t going door to door- but they are making arrests when folks are investigated

Disproportionate share of SAFE Act arrests made in New York City

Republican lawmakers in Albany are pushing a new proposal to repeal New York state’s 2013 gun control law, the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act, or SAFE Act.

They want to repeal the law only in counties outside New York City. It would remain on the books for the city’s five boroughs.

Marc Butler, a Republican Assemblyman from the North Country, claims the law is not effective upstate.

“We did a random survey of some of the counties,” Butler said. “We have counties where there have been one arrest under the SAFE Act. It indicates there’s not a whole lot of interest in enforcing this in our upstate counties.”

Is Butler right that some counties have only had one SAFE Act violation in four years? And is there “not a whole lot of interest in enforcing this” in upstate counties?

The SAFE Act

The SAFE Act passed the New York State Legislature in a whirlwind January 2013 vote, soon after 26 people — 20 students and six adults — were shot and killed on Dec. 14, 2012, at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

The SAFE Act places additional regulations on gun owners and dealers on what guns need to be registered, how guns can be bought and sold, and how those guns can be used.

The law expanded the definition of what’s considered an assault weapon in New York state and required those guns to be registered.

The law also required almost universal background checks on gun sales in New York state. The law requires anyone who wants to buy a gun to make the sale through a federally licensed dealer. Those dealers are required to perform background checks before approving the sale.

Before the SAFE Act, residents were able to privately buy or sell guns without any background checks. Now, even if someone wants to give a gun to a family member or neighbor, it has to go through a federal dealer.

Downstate arrests

Since the law’s passage, there have been 11,893 arrests for SAFE Act violations in New York state through Feb. 17, according to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.

A disproportionate number of the arrests happened in New York City. Some 9,593 arrests were made in New York City compared with 1,641 arrests upstate and 659 arrests on Long Island or in the suburban Westchester and Rockland counties.

New York City has the most SAFE Act arrests per capita with one arrest for every 692 people in the city. Long Island and the city’s suburbs recorded one arrest for every 4,838 adults.”

There are over 600,000 registered hunters in Wisconsin alone. Most of them use rifles for one kind of hunting & shotguns for bird hunting. TRY to get those, jerk.

That “arsenal” bust - well, that’s DeBlowsio’s New York City for ya.

But it sounds like SAFE act noncompliance in Upstate is not only widespread but includes local law enforcement as well as owners. So when’s Il Duce Cuomo going to send out his flying monkeys to kick in doors?

Been through Upstate. Met some normal folks.

The Nazis and Communists did this. Is that the company he wants to keep?

Yep...most of will comply. Those who don’t will be charged with felonies as police come across them, or ex’s turn them in. So sorry, no shootouts, no civil war. It all ends in a whimper.

It’s all VERY EASY, once the laws are in place...something to think about, for those planning to sit out yet another election, based on ‘principle’.

Someone should make a campaign ad pointing out that the Nazis confiscated guns, the Communists confiscated guns, and Eric Swallwell wants to confiscate guns. (Never mind the Constitution protecting them.)

What part of “shall not be infringed” does this moron not understand?
