What a horrid human being Michelle Wolf is. I’m going to read up on her over the next couple of days and I will have a few brutally mean jokes about her by Wednesday.
Did anyone see Margaret Talev during the show?? I caught just a snippet of her right before they broke to commercial & she gave an intro to Michelle Wolf. I didn’t know who she was at the time but she was very awkward, zero personality & giggled like a schoolgirl during her “speech”. I’m hoping she was drunk. Reminded me of HRC! All she lacked was the bobble head move.
I hate to bring looks, appearance into this but...she’s the poster child for the libs.
It's interesting. I've observed over the years many such instances where someone is hired into a job with no apparent matching credentials (I had one female engineering program manager who worked for me, for example, who's education was in biology. We build radars. There is no overlap in skills there). In my experience, in every case they somehow delude themselves into believing that they were hired because they were recognized for having some special ability to think outside the box, brink a new perspective, yadda yadda yadda. In other words, totally a merit based hire. No male biologists were hired, just female. Strange. Yet there is never .... out loud anyway ... never a recognition that they benefited from a hiring preference.

Exactly. I don’t think she deserves the scorn being directed at her. I didn’t think her 20 minute gig was roll-on-the-floor-laughably funny. But I found it to be humorous, sharp witted and very insightful.
I have said this on other threads. She took it right to the “journalists” in the audience and I think they did not like it. Without POTUS there to roast the assembly itself was the best target. And she roasted them indeed.
She basically said that judging from the way they report on so many obscure facts as explosive details that it appears the MSM has a sexual fetish for Trump, and that she didn’t want to see them in the throes of ecstasy by talking about it. And the very last sentence she said was something to the effect of “And by the way, Flint still has poison water”. Why did she say this? It seemed so out of place.
In this comment I think she intentionally landed a jab right on their noses. She was calling them out on their errant ways, and mocking them as impotent. These self-important blowhards treat the most inane information on Trump admin as crucial evidence of a national crises, while real crises go unreported and unresolved. If the media ever thought that they have a duty to speak truth to power and to protect the interests of the people against governmental deception, abuse and corruption, then they are failures.
I want to go back and watch it again. So much ire directed at her I think she needs some defending... or at least some interpretive color commentary. My thoughts may not accurately reflect her intent. But I think the audience took it this way, and they don’t like to be called out. They can dish it but cannot take it. The only person in that room who spoke truth to power was Michelle Wolf. The lying, sycophantic, lazy media that thinks reporting manipulative leaks and anonymous tips by government officials somehow informs and protecting the public from government have been shown as thin-skinned weak and impotent dupes.

I like Dennis Miller a lot. He is very insightful and sharp himself. Extremely intelligent and knowlegeable. He can speak for 20 minutes and make a dozen off-hand references to subjects only a small fraction of the audience has ever heard of.
I may have missed some of Wolf’s monologue. I see some references to her roasting Sarah Huckabee Sanders and want to get up to full speed. But my post above I believe to be accurate. She let the audience pf “journalists” have it with both barrels, too.
It’s kind of weird that the people who think it is their job to find and tell the truth get so insulted when truth is spoken back to them.
it used to be that comedians were actually funny, respectful but funny, and could make an audience laugh no matter which side of the policitcal field they were on-

I also never heard of her before, but recognized her from one of those YouTube compilations of the butt-hurts after Hillary lost. They were collections of nay-sayers and haters, both before and after the election, and this mongrel’s screed was comparing “successful politician” (or something along those lines) for Hillary to “fake p#%&@ doctor” for Trump. Don’t know if it was before or after, as it would fit either scenario...
No surprise to see someone who wouldn’t be mistaken for “Mayflower folk” furious that Americans elected a president to represent US.
