Christianity is not so much a list of do’s/don’ts or can/ can’ts as it is faith and belief in action as a way of life to follow after our Lord and Savior and His example and commands. A Christian life is positive action and communion with God, not a meticulous avoidance of certain actions. A “sin list”, in my opinion, would be an example of not seeing the forest for the trees.

Only for salvation, however we are commanded to live holy, pure lives pleasing to God, which, yes, means avoiding sin.

And giving a list of sin was GOD'S idea so you'll need to take that up with Him.

The SBC churches which have caved to Sodom are routinely disfellowshipped. This has happened with at least 3 that I know of, one in my own city.

But the softening is present, though subtle. In 2011, SBC president met with rabid activist homosexuals demanding just this at the SBC convention in Phoenix. The fact that the meeting even happened is unconscionable. The sodomites aren’t going to soften, but they deem a place at the table a massive victory.

God has already demonstrated how He changes His word, and it’s not by sending atheists to tell us to ignore the Bible. The last time He notified us of changes, it was by sending his Son to tell us in person. I imagine the next time will be just as unambiguous. Until then, I will read the Bible for moral guidance, rather than looking to the LGBTQIDIOTs for spiritual enlightenment.

Well, no and yes. They can hold them accountable to a Biblical standard, at the risk of severing their membership as an affiliate church in good standing. The SBC has already "disfellowshipped" several churches for apostasy.

So, yes, there are standards that a requires, with wide berth for other non-essential doctrines.

However, God did give us the law, which is a bunch of don’ts. And he did that because we weren’t apparently understanding what it is to love.
