Trump didn't really campaign in Ca or NY. Why bother...between the illegal and dead vote, they are Dem states. He was respectful to both states however.

One of his techniques is to embrace the Left’s axioms & goals, driving them away from those foundational issues via their absolute imperative of “never agree with Trump”. Result is he’s gradually tearing apart their base, since they’d rather confront & beat him on any given point lest they actually work _with_ him toward a common goal. He gives them a choice of self-destruction vs empowering him; they’d rather betray their base than cooperate.
Moreover it was fracking DANGEROUS every time he tried! Sneaking across freeways and down alleys. But not only that, dangerous to his supporters. They were absolutely determined that there were places that he was not going to be allowed to go, because not one person in the area was going to be allowed to find out what he’s really like.
