It wasn’t her car. It belonged to a guy her daughter and 2 other friends were riding in. That is why the cop was in his rights to tell her to talk to the guy who was driving. Her daughter was just a passenger in the car. Her daughter called her to have her pick them up as their car was being towed and they needed a ride home.

If you think about it, the officer should not be telling her the legal situation of someone unrelated to her. That would be confidential information. She can’t just bust into any legal situation and demand information.

It’s up the drive/owner of the vehicle to disclose those things “IF HE WANTS TO”.
