LBJ was smooth as hell in public... and a real scrapper all the rest of the time.

It was deceiving to watch him... a southern gent. But the stories of what he pulled behind the scenes is pretty amazing.

I'll say one thing for LBJ... there was a guy who knew exactly what to do with power...like Trump.

On the other hand, there are guys like Obozo who are positively intimidated by power. It confuses and scares them. They think you demonstrate your power by lording it over other people and prancing around like you're a hereditary, dynastic monarch. What Obozo never got was that in US, people with political power are civil servants held to established law and beholden to the PEOPLE.
