The parents have successfully raised money from an online donation group. They are not asking the government to fly their little boy to Italy. They are prepareed to fly him on their own, and pay for it.

I know a retired ethics professor from Leeds University in the UK. Kind of a maverick, he doesn't believe doctors should intentionally kill patients. He mourns the moral collapse of his profession. Fancy that. He gave me the tagline.

Same with Charlie Gard’s family and the hospital was offering to treat him for free. You would think that rather than allowing this child to die they would be glad to send him elsewhere and wash their hands of the whole situation, but no, they said he will die and die he will.

Alfie will die while the British celebrate the birth of a new prince? I guess the irony will be lost on the heartless.
