I wanted my Mom and Dad to die in their sleep in bed together on the same night. Unfortunately it did not end that way.
Not for me either. My mom who I loved dearly drove me nuts for seven years after my dad died.
the worst thing to ever happen to my dad was my mom dying before he did....my dad had cancer and had made peace with the fact he was going to die. my mom went into the hospital for back surgery ad died 2 weeks later from a blood clot that caused a massive heart attack. he was devastated and pretty much decided to die after her funeral.
My father in law died out of the blue. In bed, and his wife woke up and went on...that is how peaceful he went. Yes, it was a shock. It was not expected at all.
I understand now what a gift that was for him.
