My father in law died out of the blue. In bed, and his wife woke up and went on...that is how peaceful he went. Yes, it was a shock. It was not expected at all.
I understand now what a gift that was for him.
Yes I said it he will go with her soon.
My dad and a good friend of mine both succumbed to “blood infections”. Took them months but nothing could be done.
And I was SURE my dad would win as he had beaten both colon cancer and thyroid cancer in the years prior.
Half of his actual being is gone after decades together.
Totally understandable that his resistance plunged...prayers for all who are aching.

My father told me years ago he was ‘taking care of himself’ because ‘mother’ could not do well alone.
Dad is 88, mom is 85...they left Sunday on a 27 day cruz out of Florida ending in Scotland then a 15 hour flight home.
Nice to have healthy parents.
Even better to know you have AWESOME genes.

My father was born 2 months before him. He was a 3 war Marine and a *true* patriot. He passed 3 days before his 79th birthday.
My point? While Bush’s passing is certainly sad for his family, he didn’t get short changed. When men like my father die, the country gets short changed.
Yep, they live for each other. My great aunt and uncle died just days apart.

My Mom died eleven months to the day after my Dad died. He went on December 18, 2010, and Mom passed on November 18, 2011.
Blessings to you. My brother died tragically and unexpectedly at 30 years old. Wouldn’t wish on anyone what my parents went through.
Mom and dad were married for 66 years. When she died dad crashed and burned mentally and physically lost a lot of weight. Took a long time to get his mind back and it’s really not all there like it used to be.
