Patrolling the border was the job of the US Cavalry until 1943. I don’t see why a mechanized infantry division can’t be used to patrol the border. We have troops on the DMZ in Korea, and have troops guarding the borders of other countries, its’ time to have them guard our own borders.
I read somewhere that the border has a 60 ft wide strip that is federal land.....maybe there is some long forgotten rule that can be applied.

We cannot do that! Don’t you realize how doing such a sensible thing would upset the Democrats, Socialists, Communists, Globalists, and RINOs in Congress and in Academia, not to mention all of our wonderful news and entertainment folks? No, we can’t upset all these wonderful people!
