I once paid a nickel
For a Hershey Bar!
A Nickel!
and a dime for a 10 oz coke in a returnable bottle.
A Nickel!
You've forgotten what it's like to have no apples. Or oranges.
For a Hershey Bar!
And Klein Chocolate Bars were only 3 cents.
I did too. And a nickel for a Nestle's Milk Choclate Bar, which you cannot get anymore. They used to sell them in the regular size, and a larger package. I hadn't had any in years, got a craving, and went to look for them at various stores, and couldn't find any. I went online to their website, and they didn't feature them as one of their products. I finally wrote the company and asked if they made the regular size milk chocolate bars anymore, and they said "no." They only make them in the midget size that are mixed in with other midget sized bars. She offered to send me a coupon for a bag of the variety midgets. I told her to keep it. I can't eat nuts (diverticulitis), and I hate peanut butter and chocolate together. Sometimes you just want a chocolate bar with nothing else in it.
As kids we’d all scout for a few 2 cent deposit coke bottles, bicycle on to the market to turn them in for cash, pool the money at the drug store to get a bag full of 4 cent candy bars (discounted from 5), and head back to the tree fort to have a feast of chocolate for everyone! Yum.
How about a bottle of Coke from a Coke Machine?
