IMHO, YUGE mistake to ignore or dismiss IG Horowitz's referral.

Much has been made of his serious and thorough investigation and report, so to not act on it, seems to me to be rife with peril.

In my book the anti-Trump cabal ringleaders were John “Prince of Darkness” Brennan and Andrew McCabe.

The McCabe leak to the WSJ, which is the leak in question here, was not an anti Trump leak. If anything it was an anti Hillary leak.

Not sure why folks are so excited by this.

McCabe can say what he wants and leak what he wants but we all know he conspired against Trump. McCabe doing a few anti-Hillary head fakes to enhance his non existent neutrality...I am not impressed

The inspector general said Mr. McCabe authorized leaks to a Wall Street Journal reporter when he was trying to shape the narrative surrounding his role in the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s secret emails.

Investigators said the 2016 leak confirmed the existence of an investigation into the Clinton Foundation — a probe the FBI had studiously avoided confirming. The leak was inappropriate because it was done “to advance his personal interests,” the audit found.

He then lied to Mr. Comey, then to FBI agents and the inspector general in May and July 2017. In a follow-up interview late last year he “contradicted his prior statements,” the audit concluded.

Of course McCabe conspired against Trump but this leak doesn't appear to an example of that.

Wasn't the leak a few days before the election? Didn't the unnamed source (McCabe) blame the PADAG for a Clinton Foundation coverup.

It's hard to imagine any McCabe nefarious activity not benefiting Hillary. But that's some roundabout plan by McCabe to get his integrity back, presumably for the benefit of Hillary.

Dollars to donuts, 99% of DC residents have no idea who McCabe, who he worked for or his political leanings.
