I don’t like Rush’s fill-ins.
He did the same thing for Donald Trump during the primaries.
I like his wit, but: He is, as I understand, an atheist, and, I suspect, rather libertine. He comes out of the entertainment/music scene.
He actually, very atypically, waxed maudlin when George Michaels (?) died. I did some research to figure out why.
Atheists can get very emotional over shallow things. They have no deep foundation. This is just my opinion.
Looks to me like a classic case of too many cooks in the kitchen. Levin and his people did not want to share the stage.
You don’t know him or his work. or else you would see that what you wrote was totally incorrect.
Wow. That is pretty much a complete slam dunk.
What I didn’t like about his show: It wasn’t philosophical as you are hinting. It was stylistic. I watched about 1.75 episodes and literally couldn’t stand it. I wanted to like it. But Steyn, I think, is not suited for uninterrupted serious single topic spew for the most part. He can riff and imporvise with the best of them, indeed, he is the among the best of them. But I found his particular style anti-entertaining, and maybe because I was expecting him to be funny, which he is on Rush’ show. On his own show, he really fell flat. To me.
have you watched his interviews on youtube. I find them to be excellent. I think he would be great in a show that has an interview, and a short monolog.
Good to see—especially in reading the details.
I really don’t understand why OAN or Fox or someone hasn’t picked up Mark for an evening daily show. The entertainment sections could be filmed in advance, and Mark could do an opening monologue in the early evening, based on the events of the day.
He is 100% smarter and more humorous than any of the propaganda leftists out there.
Okay, start it as a Friday and Saturday evening show if you must, but really he should be the William F. Buckley of Johnny Carsons, if you will.
Agreed—he is a real talent, and the right mix should be fairly easy to find for him.
I read it. Whether, or not, Levin likes Steyn was not relevant to the resolution of the case. Steyn may be demanding and not tolerate incompetence, but no one should have been surprised about that. CRTV did not comply with the terms of the agreement, so they lost.
I think CRTV put way too much effort into recruiting Steyn, who was not an enthusiastic recruit to do another show.
CRTV should have moved on to someone else. When a guy says no 2-3 times, that might be a clue that he is not really interested. Throwing stupid money at him may get a person to agree, but you cannot buy enthusiasm.
The technical problems were huge, CRTV knew it in advance, and there was no indication CRTV would be able to fix their problems in any acceptable timeframe.
Steyn has wide-ranging interests he doesnt want to give up to focus on just one show.
He clearly thought he did when he signed on to it.
Levin does not own or run CRTV. He is just the front man.
I make no claims as to what is implied by "founder" or "editor-in-chief.

Steyn Just said he won’t see any money because the billionaire owner Crtv suing his company to bankrupt it.
