Back in 1980 when I was young I was working for George Bush for president and had the pleasure of meeting Barbara a couple of times early in the campaign, January of that year.
My father and I helped host a fund raiser and she was very gracious and wrote me a lovely thank you note, which sadly I have long lost.
She was very nice, may God Speed.
Thank you Toespi.
I expect more.
First? Daughter, wife, mother to POTUS?
Wonderful. How nice of her.
What’s MOST shocking is that her husband outlived her.
I’m glad Mrs. Bush was with her family, who all have my sincere sympathy.
Prayers up for Mrs. Bush and the entire Bush family. May the Lord ease the pain of her passing.
I always liked Barbara. Nice story. Thanks for sharing.
Very sad news. RIP Barbara Bush.
My father, also a WWII vet, also outlived his beloved wife (mom). But he was never the same after that, and often said he longed to see her again in heaven.
RIP
Your post is so classless.
A classy lady, RIP.
Its just a damned shame that idiots post garbage on threads like this that require moderator removal.
Very sad news. My deeest sympathy to the Bush family. I have always admired this fine woman.
Can anyone rest in peace who believes in abortion? Maybe she changed her mind in her last days; I hope so. Regardless, I will join those who pray for her soul, and appreciate her long-lived marriage. Thank you to whomever posted her wedding photo. She was a beautiful woman and the photograph is stunning.
Great picture of the very liberal Bush clan.
Yes it is. It’s called manners. Have some. The woman has died. If you can’t show her respect then don’t say anything at all.
Barbara Bush has died.....I pray she appealed to heaven.......the channels are nonstop nostalgia
They are already politicizing her death by playing sound bytes of her upset comments because Trump picked on her son....
The networks can barely say one kind word about our President, or laud him for all he does!
They WILL politicize even this to get at Trump
Rest in peace Barb.
