One of Parkland, Fla.'s most prominent student activists on stopping gun violence has called for a boycott of Vanguard and BlackRock, two of the world's biggest investors in gunmakers.
In a post on Twitter on Tuesday, David Hogg remarked on the firms' ownership of gun maker stocks, adding "if you use them, feel free to let them know." Then he added two tags: BoycottVanguard BoycottBlackrock.

Hold up on Blackrock. When Bank Of America made there anti-gun policy known, I started shopping around. PNC bank uses Blackrock for their investments. I found out this:

So, does Mr. Hogg's handlers not know this about Blackrock, or are they trying to speed them up?

You know, not just shooting, but flying, their muscle cars, home repair or even building them from scratch, and yes Investing. And it wouldn't surprise me many are already doing business with these 2 firms, especially Vanguard because they are the kings of low-cost indexing Mutual Funds and ETF's.
Now this might effect the arts and croissant crowd, but they work for the university and their money is probably with TIAA-CREF, so I don't seem them changing...
So all we need is a tweet from Ted Nugent or Sarah Palin saying consider these firms and you don't think they will have even more business?
Have you read that Vanguards Financial Planning services are so popular they can't hire CFP's fast enough and keep up with demand?
