Turkey is not our friend. Not since the Generals were given the boot.

I agree. I will side with Greece on this one.

Bring back Constantinople. I know, it’s unrealistic but we can dream.

Bring back Constantinople.I have often opined that Greece and Armenia should have a common border.

The Greeks and Armenians did not get along too well the last time they shared a boarder. Hiking the highlands would be an experience.

May NATO winGreece and Turkey are both in NATO. Perhaps NATO should be disbanded. It's been pushing into the Mideast, Eastern Europe and Northern Africa for quite some time. Now, you've got an aggressor member (Turkey) fighting a vulnerable one.
Both NATO and the EU have not been kind to Greece. Maybe Greece needs new friends.

Turkey and Greece have always been hostile.
It would be nice to imagine a return of Ionia to Greece and the re-establishment of Christianity in the Hagia Sophia, but Greece has been wallowing in decadence since the fall of Athens in 404 B.C. and can't be trusted.
Among the ruins of the Parthenon, my Greek guide decried the plundering of Greek antiquities by the Western Nations (e.g. the Elgin Marbles). She wasn't pleased when I remarked that I wish they had gotten the Victory of Samothrace before her head and arms got knocked off and the Venus de Milo before she lost her arms.
