A federal judge with Hispanic name is no accident; it’s the result of careful judge shopping. In San Francisco, years ago, decisions restricting the INS were often written by a federal judge by the name of Roberto Aguilar, a friend of orgs like MALDEF and La Raza. One such was even delivered on Sep 16th, Mexican independence day. He was later convicted on charges related to corruption; big shock.
