Actions by the United States and its allies in Syria would entail consequences for which they would have to bear responsibility, Russia's ambassador in Washington Anatoly Antonov said in a statement.......

Statement by the Ambassador of Russia to the USA Anatoly Antonov on the strikes in Syria

The worst apprehensions have come true. Our warnings have been left unheard.

A pre-designated scenario is being implemented. Again, we are being threatened. We warned that such actions will not be left without consequences.

All responsibility for them rests with Washington, London and Paris. Insulting the President of Russia is unacceptable and inadmissible. The US-the possessor of the largest arsenal of chemical weapons-has no moral right to blame other countries.......

The rebels and ISIS have used chemical weapons more than 50 times, and they have indicated a willingness to do the same. The Syrian govt gains zero from using them. The rebels and ISIs gain a lot by using them and blaming Assad

So glad “free conservative speech” gives you license to speak hatefully about America’s ally, Israel. Puts you right up there with Obama.

"They are a naval power now, with the second (or third, behind Japan) best navy in the world. They sail in all regions at will. When I sailed in the 80s we were taught to respect, if not fear them. Their sub force alone gives them that status."

I think they have a few fine naval Kalibr cruise missiles. Not sure what condition the fleet is in though. I don't think Russian forces in Syria can go toe to toe with a reinforced carrier battle group and our land based air assets.

If we had 100 world's worth of chemical weapons, it wouldn't matter if we never used them.

Duh!

You really like to play the dumbass, don’t you?

Our intelligence services have shown themselves willing to lie to We The People, over and over again. The phony Trump dossier is but one example.

The “deep state” showed evidence isn’t a good enough answer. They also said Trump bought hookers to pee on a bed that the Obama’s slept on. They have lost the right to say “trust us”. I trust Trump but I know they would lie to him in an instant.

Nuclear is melodramatic.

Whatever nukes they still have left are saved to use against the Chinese who’ve been making noises that they’d like Siberia back that was taken from them by the Czars.

"From looking around, the Russians had 2 Kilo diesel subs and a frigate in Tarsus. One Kilo and the frigate and some support ships left port. That against a half dozen Arleigh Burke’s and an unknown number of US/Brit/French subs."

I agree, the only place our Navy would have a tough time would be near China.

When you were in the Navy we were facing the Soviet power that Brezhnev built. The Soviets, taking a page from Hitler, chose to focus on submarine warfare rather than take on the American and British fleets. Brezhnev wanted to build a blue water navy, as Kaiser Wilhelm did 60 years earlier.

I’ve been reading your history, you’re basically one conspiracy theory after another and have a very short fuse.

You must be lots of fun at that Bible study group with the poor person that happens to disagree with your interpretation...

China is very different. Luckily the Japanese have been beefing up as well and the South Koreans.

I think it is a geopolitical necessity to at least examine the role that Israel may play in all of this mess; but it should be done without the anti-Semitic overtures.

He will hit back. It’s an Asian thing. Something about honor. Maybe we will see his nuclear powered hypersonic cruise missiles in action. Can be launched from anywhere and hit everywhere.

Yeah, the intel community would *never* lead PDJT astray. They're among his strongest supporters!

I hope they show evidence this time. I don't think they ever proved who was responsible for the April 2017 alleged chemical attack.
