Sounds like it is going to be a heavily black attended event. This reminds me about what John Derbyshire said (For which he got fired) about whites going to such events. Not a good idea anyway.

Sure it is. If you are white and don’t pay the premium you get the badge showing you didn’t pay the premium, so as to face hostility and discrimination.
That said, I follow John Derbyshire’s advice in “The Talk: Non-black Version” and avoid large gatherings of blacks for safety reasons (especially as a Jewish man, given the propensity of blacks to commit hate crimes against Jews).
