Old news....must be a slow day. Ryan made that same announcement about two/three months ago. On a side note, who’s going to miss him. My guess the demodummies will have him in their camp minutes after the formal “step down”, he’s been on their side for a long time so why change now? Keep the check rolling in.

Good, why sacrifice your family if you’re not accomplishing anything anyways

The need was never greater to support candidates that actually support Trump and his agenda. This is just more evidence of the GOPe trying hard to lay down to screw Trump.

Well, it is Axios - take it with a big grain of salt.

However, Ryan IS on a downward trend in Wisconsin, and his wife is wealthier than anyone realizes, plus he’s already got a Gated Home, so he’s all set.

Besides, being a Lobbyist pays better than his current gig. ;)

Just mentioned on FOX news, there may be the rumblings of a coup to install a new Speaker and not wait for November.

“The Wisconsin Weasel is moving to K-Street to cash in....”

Well, you can bet he will be cashing in somewhere - his reward for scrooing up this President’s agenda.

I predict Reprehensible Ryan will be on the Forbes 400 list next year.

Speaker Paul Ryan is a truly good man, and while he will not be seeking re-election, he will leave a legacy of achievement that nobody can question. We are with you Paul!

Now I’m worried.

Some twerp commentator on Fox basically saying this is the death knell for the Republicans holding onto the House in November.

100% WRONG bone-head. Ryan leaving would make us MORE inclined to vote for Republicans, not LESS.

I had already decided to support Paul Ryan’s opponent in the next election. The Republican or Democrat. Maybe Ryan saw that coming.

You gotta read between the lines with POTUS. POTUS is now the leader of the GOP. Have to look unified publicly. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump had a card he finally decided to play against Ryan.

Q - “Watch the resignations” - “There are no coincidences”

I would have in the past told you the seat was safe, but there is a new climate in WI. I think this is another maneuver to turn a deep red seat Dem. and with the political climate in Wisconsin, it will definitely flip.

Isn’t his wife a liberal? How does that work in a marriage?

House Speaker Paul Ryan will not run for re-election!

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., announced Wednesday that he is not seeking re-election in November — a move that comes as the GOP girds for a tough fight to keep control of the House.

Ryan told senior GOP members that he would retire in January after serving out his full term, his office said in a statement.
