IF, and that’s a BIG IF, Russia fires at US assets, it will be over Syrian territory only. They will not fire on US Ships at sea, or aircraft offshore or over another country.
Now, the big question is whether they will fire on other NATO/Coalition forces...even their bases?
They might.
Either way the world will enter an era of danger it has not seen in decades.
We could be on the brink of a real friggin’ war where we take serious losses.

Russia is digging in their heels.
They have a Russian version of their AWACS airborne over Tartus. That platform is useful in locating inbound Tomahawks.
We haven’t launched any aircraft yet, out of Crete.
