Syria MISSILE STRIKE 'within hours': Eastern Mediterranean on ALERT for 'possible launch'
Daily Express ^ | 4/10/2018 | Joey Millar

Posted on 04/10/2018 3:51:30 PM PDT by McGruff

A coalition force could fire “air-to-ground or cruise missiles” in the wake of a horrifying chemical attack on innocent civilians in Syria last week.

Aviation experts AirLive have reported this evening a “rapid alert notification” warning aircraft in the eastern Mediterranean to be wary of a sudden missile strike.

AirLive said the alert was issued by Eurocontrol this evening for a “possible launch … within the next 72 hours”.

AirLive said: “According to reports, British forces are mobilising at their bases in Cyprus and Rafale fighter jets could takeoff from St Dizier airbase in France for possible strikes against Syria.”

Going to war in Syria is not putting America first.

President Trump needs to put America first instead of getting into another war for the Globalists that will cost us Trillions and do nothing for the U.S. but get our guys killed to turn Syria into another hell hole.

Just stupid!

Seems to me Obama ‘gifted’ this “Great Game” confrontation in Syria to his good friend John McCain. There are numerous photos of John schmoozing with various combatant leaders as if he were the 2nd coming of Stormin’ Norman. Time to end this splendid little war.

Sounds like another Libya is afoot.

Just a different cast in front.

But the same massive theater, stage crew and orchestra.

I’m quite disappointed.

Using chemical weapons against a civilian population is what is insanity.

I fully support President Trump and the coalition in responding to this atrocity.

Well, if the powers that be in DC want yet another war, I've no doubt Russia/Iran/Syria/(possibly China) would be more than happy to test their hardware out as well.

That next gen "axis of evil" is a bit more powerful than the Taliban or even Saddam's Iraq.

Things could get real messy, real ugly real quick.

I think the only way the majority of American's back such an engagement, is if Trump goes on national TV and shows undeniable, unmistakable and 100% verifiable proof that Assad's forces were behind the chem attacks (and not the shaky "proof" like Powell used in 2003).
And even at that, many will still question why...again...it must be lead by the U.S.

I can’t believe President Trump is listening to the same intelligence agencies that got Iraq wrong and accused President Trump of working with Putin.

What you are suggesting is too dangerous and you risk going to war with Russia.

Just stupid!

Israel, Saudi Arabia and Turkey want this. As far as I see it they are all liabilities to U.S. foreign policy.

We are now an Oil Exporter. We no longer need the Middle East for Strategic interests.

This is just a horrible move.

Cedar Creek Lake, S.E. of DFW, not the other Cedar Creek. My bad, I did not elaborate.
Yes, THAT Cedar Creek is booming. The one up here. not so much.

Not to mention the certainty the British will grant the US rights to use the Cyprus air base.

And, of course, the heavy birds from wherever they might be. Diego Garcia or Italy or both.

There doesnt have to be a conspiracy, but an actual reason that attacking a Russian ally ... would somehow make America greater ... would be nice.

“I don’t think multiple countries are going to risk military action if the evidence against Assad, and potentially Russia and Iran, is not overwhelming.”

There are other plausible reasons.

So I agree that Putin is a thug as well as being a “Russia first” leader.

I can see why he wants his pipeline.

I wont go so far as to say that that is the reason that it appears we have allied NATO forces that may be warming up to send a message to Assad. I would say that its far more likely that a WMD threat is taken more seriously by nations that experienced the horrors of such on the battlefields of WWI directly, than people who think that its all about controlling oil.

And there you go.

On September 3rd, 2013, Donald Trump tweeted, “What I am saying is stay out of Syria.”

For the sake of Syrians, Americans and humanity at large, the President should resist the pressure of the warmongers and heed his own advice.

Do you have any ide of the stakes involved in sending NATO military units into direct conflict with Russian ones?

we partially disagree....
Saudi could become a strategic asset, as could Turkey... we need to be a bit patient at least with Saudi Arabia until we see if the young prince really can civilize the place and if he goes to Jerusalem and makes peace, stops all Saudi funding of terrorists and terrorist=training campus and terrorist=recruiting mosques. Whether he will actually do these things or just keep making favorable headlines by oblique statements and meaningless little meetings.. remains to be seen. I’d give him 3 months at least to put up or shut up.

Turkey looks like a lost cause under its current IslamoNazi dictatorial crazy man there. We could give the situation a few months .... after telling the Turkish people they have a choice to make. .. and see if maybe the Turks get a decent kind of leader or not.

Israel is, imho, a major asset and also ally (we sometimes need to help make sure they have the ability to defend themselves, yes, but they’re damned good at it... and if we can get SArabia really on board for a change...a turnaround there.. will do wonders for us all... not just in the M.E.

we agree that the current manner of involvement...especially Obama’s fight for our enemies programs........was disasterous. ALl I am saying is that ... we would do ourselves great damage to just cut and run.. we need to clean up our policy, stop fighting Obama’s wars to help our enemies....... close down, destroy the most glaring, dangerous obvious terrorirst gangs like Hezballah Hamas PLO PA Abbas ISIS... USAF can do wonders....I envision very little need for extended ground troops, frankly....USAF can do wonders
in short order, too

then let the locals mop up the crap
