CLOVIS, N.M. — Clovis police have arrested a 17-year-old male Clovis High School student after authorities learned of a social media post apparently threatening a shooting at the school.

Police say the boy was arrested after authorities learned late Thursday night of a Snapchat post of a photo of a person holding a rifle with captions that referred to the school and said the person would be "going out with a bang."

Police say the boy was arrested on a warrant alleging a "delinquent act of aggravated assault on a school employee."

The boy's name wasn't released but police confirmed he's a student.

Classes began normally Friday at the school.

Clovis was the site of a 2017 shooting at the city library in which two people were killed and four injured.

Burlington, N.C., police said it received multiple calls from citizens Sunday regarding the post the teen made, according to a police news release.

The concern that these callers had was that one of the captions mentioned a "CHS" which they believed was referring to Cummings High School in Burlington.

Weird that they acted because people in North Carolina were scared.

The kid will be standing there in some court and wondering what all the hype is about, and the judge...if smart...should give him a ten-year sentence suspended...with zero internet activity for the ten-year period. Violating the suspension? Go to jail.

This story shows what can happen for the good when the police are allowed to do their job unlike what happened in Broward County, FL.

It’s not this story, per se, but a report in California from ANTIFA there to threaten schools and cause them to empty. Several in CA are closed tomorrow. Complicates the authentic threats from false flags.

Sounds like M13 has infiltrated the fascist ANTIFA. Soros?

Here in little ol’ Ocala/Marion County there have been 35 separate incidents of threats made to schools since February. Imagine what is happening in the rest of the country. How about your school districts, Freepers?

Why waste time on the inevitable? Put his ass in jail NOW and make his sentence stick. That will send a message to other wannabe attention seeking shooters by saying, “We are not screwing around any longer. Make such threats and you WILL GE IN PRISON! End of story”

I'm with you. Let him be an example to others. Post this picture outside his cell - make sure he's able to see it every day:
