We live in Texas. We used to live on Strawberry Drive in Lake Jackson. One our little street, one block long, we had Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, Jahova witnesses, Indians, Philippinos, Jewish, Lutherans, Mormons, Koreans, Caucasians, Hispanics, all races, all ages, all religions except Muslims.... No one bothered anyone else. We knew each other and respected each other and even enjoyed our differences. My son, we are Lutheran, came home from school one day all excited! Amy G had told them, in second grade, about Hanuka. Amy got to open a present every night for eight nights. He was IMPRESSED! We took joy in our families, our kids, our neatly manicured lawns...

After Hurricane Ike, Sept 2008, we had no damage to our house, but power was out for about a month. Everyone helped each other. For example we had a lot of frozen pizzas, no power. We cooked them outside on grill and invited neighbors to share. One neighbor told me she had no batteries, I took her a pack.

We hung our laundry on clothesline out back. We had a gas generator, but washed the clothes then hung out to dry. In our new PRISSY neighborhood with the NAZI HOA you cannot do that! Hope and pray power never goes out here! you will wear WET clothes!

On 4th of July we sat out in our front yards and watched the fireworks. They were just a few blocks to the south of us and we could see them over the majestic oak tree tops. Here our NAZI HOA doesn’t allow a single little chair in front yard! They are in full NAZI mode here.

Was our old neighborhood messy? Nope, we had strict Deed Restrictions. You knew what they were when you moved in. You called the cops if there was a REAL infraction. Here we have a little blonde girl, playing grown up/ dress up, in high heels, spike heels, about 6 inches tall and as big around as a skewer. Our old HOA was great for two years everyone was super happy. This new one is Goodwin and I wouldn’t call them Good!

But we sold that house in 2016, so not talking about the Old Days! I would never have an HOA again...

but back to the Muzzies, that is the only thing different. We didn’t have Muzzies on our old street. We had everything else and we loved learning about each others traditions, etc. And we drove through there not too long ago, in March, and it is still beautiful, manicured lawns, neat clean homes, lovingly cared for.

It was a real neighborhood. I don’t think you can have that ever again. Especially if you don’t protect what is yours. I was looking at my new house today, thinking, what is next... they force us to take immigrants into our homes??????????? Yet they have security at Vatican, White House, Fort Knox.... Seems the feds only protect what is near their hearts.
