Former AG Lynch defends Justice Department and FBI amid Trump criticism
NBC "News" ^ | April 9, 2018 | by Daniel Arkin

The recent wave of harsh attacks on the Justice Department and its law enforcement arm, the FBI, have been "painful," former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch said in an exclusive interview set to air Monday.

Lynch, speaking with NBC News' Lester Holt, defended the tens of thousands of people who work for the Justice Department, saying it is "troubling when people question the motivations of dedicated, committed professionals."

Lynch also addressed her chance encounter with former President Bill Clinton in June 2016. She reiterated that the discussions on her plane on a tarmac in Phoenix were purely social, saying the two "talked about innocuous things."

Lynch again insisted she and the former president did not talk about Hillary Clinton, the subject of a Justice Department review over her use of a private email server, or any other criminal investigations.

Instead, Lynch said Bill Clinton told a "long but charming story" about grandchildren. The two also chatted about "issues of the day," such as Brexit.

She again acknowledged that "my speaking to the former president raised concerns in people's minds about whether or not there was going to be any impact on the email investigation."

That's why, as Lynch said in July 2016 testimony before Congress, she announced after the encounter that she would accept her investigative team's recommendation about charges against Hillary Clinton.

Yes...sadly......Democrat, Loretta “Alice-in-Wonderland” Lynch is weighted heavily in body content....just a bit on the heavy side. She must love Pasta, Soul Food, Junk Food and the Sweet Desert Goodies. Oh....”Barack...hurry & bring me another one of those cream filled “Italian, Canoli’s”....yummy!!!

Loretta Lynch preferred to meet on a DOJ plane because she knew that if would not be bugged. She and Bill were free to discuss whatever they wanted. They never intended to be discovered on the tarmac in AZ. Many of us were born at night, but none of us were born last night, so if she expects us to buy her “it was just a social visit”, she is crazy.

Yes and yes are unquestionably the answer to your two questions.

And why shouldn’t she try to obfuscate? Always works for the Dems.

And why shouldn’t Holt assist her obfuscation? They are all on the same lying side.

She is a despicable liar and obstructed justice in a conspiracy and should go to prison.

Comey's book had to be submitted to DOJ prior to being published. No doubt, Lynch must know thru her own sources what is said about her in the book. She is getting out in front of it to tell her side of the story. Both are works of fiction.

Comey used the tarmac meeting to take over the decision on whether to prosecute or not. Since the fix was already in, Lynch probably preferred it that way. In fact, she could have colluded with Comey on the decision.

Hopefully, the IG report will shed more light on what really happened. Maybe someone in her security detail will spill the beans.

Isn’t this the same Loretta Lynch who wrote a CYA Obama memo as the White House door was slammed against her butt?

You are thinking Susan Rice, perhaps?

Well if the DOJ and the FBI would promptly comply with the document requests made by congress we could then all see how innocent and professional these government agencies are. Or maybe not...

Instead of NBC, let’s see if she’ll state the same things under oath, with penalty of perjury like Flynn.

Yes, Susan Rice wrote the memo. It’s hard to keep track of all the crooks without a scorecard.
