John Kelly urging Trump to fire EPA's Scott Pruitt: Report
Washington Examiner ^ | Josh Siegel

Posted on 04/06/2018 3:45:59 PM PDT by KavMan

White House chief of staff John Kelly has urged President Trump to fire embattled EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, whose ethics and judgment are being questioned over a series of decisions he has made involving spending, housing and his management style.

Kelly and other White House officials have concluded that Pruitt should leave, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday. But Trump is continuing to back Pruitt, viewing him as an effective implementer of his deregulatory agenda by gutting or delaying a number of EPA regulations imposed by the Obama administration.

Trump on Friday decried what he views as a media “siege” facing the EPA chief and rejected other reports that have suggested he is considering replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions with Pruitt.

I hope TRUMP doesn't listen to John Kelly!!!

Scott Pruitt is by far the best EPA Administrator we’ve ever had.

That’s why the commies are gunning for him.

If Pres. Trump fires or reassigns Pruitt that will be an enormous blunder.

A.G. Sessions’ tenure is an entirely distinct matter and should be addressed separately.

Is this “report” from another of the anti-Trump/Democrats “anonoymis source”? My guess is “Yes” thus we can ignore it. Pruitt is being VERY EFFECTIVE in draining the EPA swamp.

To all those calling for CoS Kelly to be fired based upon this unsourced story, even if it is in the Washington Examiner, I say: Hold your horses. Let’s verify that CoS Kelly has actually recommended that, or is this more Obama/never-Trumper fake news hoping to create a fire storm where there may be none.

Maybe true maybe not Pruitt is by far his best cabinet head and is despised by the left. No way should he leave because he’s only paying 1500 a month full for a DFC apartment, it’s ridiculous. Make him move and drop it. Kelly has a very shaky pedigree. He’s against the wall and vehemently opposed to troops securing the border. Yes he’s brought order to the White House but he is basically a Democrat.

I believe that Sec Pruitt has already found a home for his family and himself. The origin of this story is when he was seeking a place to stay here in DC during the initial 2-3 months after being appointed and while his child was completing the school year before they all moved out here.

Think we have a good group in place right now.

If only we can stop the media and its barrage of bad news, pretend news, fake news.

It's time to think positive.

Sometimes FR seems to be caught up in the medias "lets be negative" web.

Scott Pruitt and Mick Mulvaney are two of the most effective of Trump’s nominees at effectuating Trump’s agenda and dismantling the Obama/Bush anti-American statist infrastructure and policies. He’d be out of his mind to get rid of them. If Kelly is recommending getting rid of Pruitt (which I doubt) Kelly is off the Trump reservation and doing the bidding of Trump’s enemies.

Tell Pruitt to find a $5000 rental and raise his pay to cover it!

News Alert! Cabinet salaries are set in law, and they are inadequate for someone to maintain temporary housing for a couple of years while maintaining a permanent residence somewhere else - and almost no one is a big enough fool to think that his job tenure as a cabinet secretary is longer than it take a guard to pack his belongings in a box. That is why most cabinet secretaries are independently wealthy. They have to be.

When President Donald Trump made a congratulatory phone call to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, White House chief of staff John Kelly wasn’t on the line.

When Mr. Trump tapped John Bolton to be his next national security adviser, Kelly wasn’t in the room.

And when Mr. Trump spent a Mar-a-Lago weekend stewing over immigration and trade, Kelly wasn’t in sight.

I don’t doubt SOMEONE in the White House gave this story to the Examiner. I truly doubt it’s factual. I read that Kelly even called Pruitt a couple of nights ago to offer support, after the president called him.

Pruitt is a kick-ass EPA head and may be the best cabinet pick to date. He has done nothing unethical and the left is collectively seething over his effective leadership and his shredding one of their holy causes.

I don’t trust sources anymore.
