Caravan won't end in Mexico. Some migrants will risk trip to US border

The caravan of Central American migrants going through Mexico to the US border isn't ending. Instead, its participants will disperse into smaller groups after reaching Mexico City.

While some will stay in Mexico to try to get refugee status there, others will continue north to the US border.

Organizers of the caravan estimate that some 200 or so people will proceed all the way to the US border in the coming days, although the number could be higher. Last year, about 150 went all the way to the border, they said.

Pueblo Sin Fronteras caravan or People Without Borders has organized the event for years. The caravan has always dispersed into separate, smaller groups at some point along the journey. What has been striking is that this year's event has the largest number of people ever, with more than 1,100.

There is no law that stops the US from using the military to prevent unauthorized entry.

The Posse Comitatus Act pertains to the use of the military against citizens in matters of law enforcement. Not against foreigners coming from another nation.

Here, we see that the Secretary of Defense is the one who prescribes the regulations that limit the Navy (& Marines), not the PCA.

Speaking of "cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution"

Foreign nationals streaming into our country who "overrun" our border, or "infringe" by "intrusion" (to thrust or bring in without invitation, permission, or welcome) are by the very definition of "invasion", and the fact that they are not citizens of the U.S., subject to the operations of any branch of the military because the Constitution overrides the PCA.

The bottom line is that Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis, via 10 U.S.C. § 375, has the authority to direct the Department of the Navy to secure our nations border.

Now, of course, that doesn't mean some judge out there who disregards our Constitution and rule of law won't try to stop if from happening...but the executive branch has the authority.

Regardless of what Trump says or does, many migrants in the caravan said they won't be deterred from heading to the US border.

The spectacle of an invasion justifies even more so the need for the military on the border.

If you think the military is going to be deployed at the border to stop border crossings you will be deeply disappointed.

If the president declared a buffer zone along the border was under Martial Law then you could believe they would make a difference, but he won't and they won't.

Simply declare they are a refugee and we let them in pending a court date to determine if the are truly refugees, otherwise know as catch and release. We don't need to send the National Guard there to watch them cross the border illegally, any kid with a camera phone can take picture of them crossing, it is what comes after that, that matters.

Mehico is not proving to be a friendly country on our southern border.

They are allowing these individuals passage through mehico to get to the US.

Trump should be telling mehico the border will be defended and our future relationship is under review pending how mehico handles these type of situations going forward.

They are only limited by the goons in Washington. They are not limited by the Constitution or the American people wanting their border secure from invasion.

IF Washington does not secure our borders, WE THE PEOPLE need to rise up and arm up to do it ourselves. I have done it in the past with like minded folks but the problem was and is today, we cannot get enough keyboard warriors off of their fat arses to really do it. I challenge everyone to look deep within themselves to see if they have what it takes to do it.
