From the San Jose Mercury News:
https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/04/03/youtube-shooters-father-says-she-was-angry-at-company/

Ismail Aghdam said that on Monday morning the family had called police to report his daughter missing, because she hadn’t been answering her phone for two days. Mountain View police called the family around 2 a.m. Tuesday to tell them they had found Nasim sleeping in her car and that everything was “in control.” He said he had told police she might be going to YouTube because she “hated” the company.

Mountain View is about 30 miles south of San Bruno, and is where Google headquarters is located.

San Jose Mercury does great investigative reporting. From article posted above:

The father told Mountain View police that his daughter hated Youtube and was headed that way. The police discovered her asleep in her car and spoke with her. Then they phoned dad “everything is in control”.

My 2cts: If Youtube was not told about a potential threat and/or the office did not increase security (can there be any question that security was non-existent?), then Mountain View police and maybe Youtube is in big trouble.

Not good.
