Fox News host Laura Ingraham goes on vacation as more advertisers dump her over Parkland tweet

Right-wing commentator Laura Ingraham has taken a week off as host of her Fox News television show after more than a dozen companies said they will pull advertisements from her program.

Among the latest corporations to cut ties with Ingraham were Liberty Mutual, which confirmed to CNBC that it doesn't plans to run anymore ads on her show, and Bayer, which made its announcement on social media.

Pet food company Nutrish was the first to announce it would remove ads from Ingraham's evening news and opinion show, "The Ingraham Angle." Well over a dozen companies, including TripAdvisor, Hulu and Nestle, have followed suit since the social media controversy erupted.

Liberty Mutual told CNBC that CEO David Long addressed Ingraham's comments with employees on Friday, saying, "These comments are inconsistent with our values as a company, especially when it comes to treating others with dignity and respect."

These are the most annoying commericals anyway.

Aw, c'mon...the "three boyfriends, two jobs" girl who totaled "Brad" is a cutie and makes me smile. But then, I'm easy.

The final fate of the latest Media Matters campaign:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rush_Limbaugh%E2%80%93Sandra_Fluke_controversy

In response to Limbaugh's remarks several online and social media campaigns were created such as a Flush Rush group on Facebook and the Stop Rush database. As a result, by March 3, over a dozen advertisers had discontinued their sponsorship. After Limbaugh's apology, the exodus slowed but did not stop, with competing number counts in the dozens.

On March 9, Politico estimated that Limbaugh's talk show had lost 45 sponsors, a number that includes advertisers that purchased ad time on local stations but had never bought national advertising on the show itself.

On March 19, they released a list of all 31 advertisers that they identified as having specifically dropped Limbaugh's program.

A March 28 post-mortem on the end of the campaign by The Washington Post concluded:

Exactly one month after the conservative radio host sparked outrage ... stations are standing by him, advertisers are trickling back to his program and the news media have moved on ... Angelo Carusone, who has been leading the anti-Limbaugh efforts for Media Matters for America, a Washington organization ... acknowledged that outrage is hard to sustain.

I actually think she did the right thing by acknowledging she posted to an inappropriate account. But after ‘humbling’ herself, and with Hogg’s repeated assault, she should now ‘man up’ (pardon the expression) and simply say that while she made a minor error in judgment, that bowing to hate is never a good thing. Then she should ignore him from that point on and get back to her show. The audience will respect that.

"These are the most annoying commercials anyway."

No way - that's my favorite - I named it: "Brad"....

I don’t do business with most of those companies anyway. I know now that I will not do business with them for the foreseeable future.

These are the most annoying commericals anyway. No more Liberty Mutual will be an improvement.

Agree. They promote driving irresponsibly and totaling your car, makes you a victim.

Not to mention their veiled diversity push, in other commercials.

Never back down from left-wing bullies. Ingraham is making a big mistake in apologizing and backing down from this little snot and his adult handlers.

I asked this on a different thread, but asking again:

How and the HELL can anyone consider David Hogg a hero of the Florida High School shooting and he wasn’t even there that day and yet three real heroes JROTC Cadets Alaina Petty, 14, Martin Duque, 13, Peter Wang, 15 (who was in uniform at the time) all died while working to save fellow students seem to have no voice?

"I just need that advertiser list so I know who not to do business with"

Might want to call them and let them know that you won't be doing business with them- That Mr. Hogg's slur of NRA members -calling them child murderers is unacceptable.

There are only four (oops- five) on the list that I have ever used, anyway. And now J&J and Bayer are replaced by generics and the store-brand choco-chips taste fine in my cookies, and I switched from Hondas to Jeeps four or five cars ago.

I’ve been tying up Progressive’s phone line...then asking “why Progressive kowtows to brown shirts like Hogg?”

Because Progressive Insurance is run by a bunch of FREAKING LEFTISTS! That's WHY the company is called PROGRESSIVE! Their Chairman, Peter Lewis, is about the biggest funder of Lefty causes this side of Tom Steyer. Honestly, buy your insurance someplace else!

“Kars-4-Kids” has what I consider the most annoying ad. Whenever it comes on, I change channels or turn off the TV. They sponsor some shows on Fox, but apparently not Laura’s.

Nutrish is just branded with a TV personality name, who cares. Jos A. Bank has crappy suits, last one I bought there took them 5 times to get the pants hemmed correctly - loser workers as staff. I don’t buy anything from the rest of them, maybe Laura can get some advertisers that are Americans.

Here is the complete list:
Office Depot
Liberty Mutual Insurance
TripAdvisor
Nestle
Johnson and Johnson
Jos. A. Bank
Hulu
Expedia
Nutrish
Jenny Craig
Wayfair
Miracle-Ear
Stitch Fix
Principal
Honda
Progressive
Bayer AG

“Vacation”...

Reminds me of when Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, the shah of Iran, took a "vacation" early in 1979. It turned out to be permanent.

Gorby went on "vacation" and when he came back, Yeltsin had taken over.
