Trump is slowly learning the Wash.D.C. ropes and is becoming a regular politician. Talk and see where the words fall and stick to. Then talk some more.

They will probably let them in without any resistance.
We lost our sovereignty long ago.

No, that [stopping them on Mexico's side] would be an act of war; something Congress could legitimately impeach Trump over, given that only Congress has the authority to declare war according to the Constitution.
However, denying them entry even via lethal force on our side of the border is both perfectly legal and mandated by the Constitution in Art 4, Sec 4.
That's not needed, nor would Congress accede to the request. It would be better to issue orders to the Army and Navy to secure the boarders and coasts with authorization of lethal force. This would almost certainly be opposed politically, probably by both the Judiciary and the Congress [who would likely try to impeach] — but therein would be the trap! Art 4, Sec 4 of the Constitution mandates the federal government protect the States from invasion. Thus such actions on part of the Judiciary and/or Legislature could be construed as both Sedition and Treason… and there would be nothing they could do to stop it.
I want as many people as possible to see what this is all about and hopefully some talk show dudes or something will, too.
