“Lie with dogs, get fleas.”
Lie with progressives, get AIDs, VD, and worst of all - a partner with an SJW degree, unpayable college loans, and their parents.
Ha. I told co-workers about Google in 2008 or perhaps very late 2007. They blew me off. You know, tinfoil and black helicopeters. Best part is, I never talk about black helicopters. Until Denver 2008 that is, LOL.
They read a little further in a news article and realized I was probably correct.
Still, no idea. Another believed all of Google’s money came from “ad revenue” - LOL.
They don’t need the urchin tracker javascript anymore. If that is what you were mentioning. Those of us that had Analytics were told the urchin tracker was outdated.
I no longer have Analytics but am going back and deleting the urchin tracker javascript when I have time.
[Yes, google is bad enough.. go shopping, come home and what you were looking for out shopping, will pop up on any search on google.]
Remember when Lyin’ Brian Williams hoped we’d all be micro
chipped by 2017?

Of course, Brian loved him some antichrist spirit Barack Hussein Obama.
do yourself a favor and delete the google tracking cookies from your browser... they are tracking you with that, no sign-on required
My cousin has a bum foot and he's been approved by the VA for a car with hand controls (not just the controls-the whole car). Anyway, somewhere along the approval process the VA demanded that he tell them who he sold cars to in 1972 and 1974! He'd forgotten he'd even owned the cars much less who he sold them to.
They know.
Bring. It.
I know exactly what you mean. For years I have told people about this but they laughed and snickered. This is so typical of liberals and the media. So far behind in life and common sense. They can be falling half way down a water fall then decide to start rowing. The media is just as stupid with these matters because of their bias and willful ignorance until the time comes when they simply can not ignore it anymore and dribble out half baked articles.
It is relatively easy to avoid google, maybe other then email to other gmail users. IOS, proton mail, dogpile search. Firefox or opera as a browser and a script/cookie blocker like umatrix or uorigin. They are a private company and you agree to do business with them. They provide mostly free services in exchange for scraping your information. Do not like that, don’t use their free services. But it is easy to wine and complain you want someone to come in and regulate the big bad company...Take some personal responsibility. Personally I like chrome and gmail and the fact my bookmarks and passwords are replicated to the different machines I use. It makes my life easier so I trade some privacy. But I am an adult and am happy to make decisions in my own best interest.
I’ve already forgotten about W10.
Trancended though the use of Linux Mint and VirtualBoxes.
NoScripts...
SkyNet
I think they’re gonna find out the hard way......
Tomorrow I’m deactivating my Verizon Android, and switching back to the old BlackBerry Classic which has been living in a drawer for a year. I only care about phone and text, and Google Maps for GPS which I love. I can live without that GPS and get a Garmin or similar.
I was forced to sign up for Google when I got the Android. I don’t know if there’s any way to delete my entire account, or if it lives there forever.
We should break up Google as a monopoly under anti-trust laws.
It controls 90%+ of the online ad market. That alone is reason enough.
It’s special relationship with Twitter is why they have both been colluding to hinder Gab.ai, the Twitter alternative. That is a separate crime.
Then there’s the fact no one online platform - Google, Facebook, Twitter - should be so big that their private business policies impact your RIGHTS. They control so much of the public square that the speech they actively censor is suppressed. Likewise how when Google decides it doesn’t like diet pills or guns, those businesses become invisible online.
Absolutely. I won't go on the internet without it (and a few other things like uBlock Origin, Cookies Exterminator, going over every option in my browsers with a fine-toothed comb, reading intentionally-opaque terms-or-service tomes and opting out as need, etc.)
Unfortunately, only 5-10% of the general public has the computer expertise to take precautions like this. This is particularly true with NoScript, which is probably the most effective browser extension for protecting oneself from abuse, but the most difficult to use. The other 90-95% of the public are screwed. For surveillance capitalists, who are restrained by neither laws nor their own ethics, preying on nearly all of the public is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Personally I like chrome and gmail and the fact my bookmarks and passwords are replicated to the different machines I use. It makes my life easier....

I’m with you, Joedish. I like Google Chrome and gmail for all the same reasons and they are pretty much faultless. I may do something I don’t consider bad and someone else does, but until then I refuse to worry about it. Absolutely refuse.
