Haha! Bingo!
There shall still be a fight going on in Syria. One part of the fight is the Turkish incursion of the northern border, not to fight ISIS, but to quell any and all Kurdish fighters who may have taken up arms against ISIS.
Another part of the fight will be the coming escalation of the struggle between the Iranian Shi’ites and the Saudi Arabian supported Sunni warriors, neither side of which has the least interest in preserving the Bashar al-Assad regime. The Russian will soon be the only foreign entity that is actually concerned with saving Bashar.
They are going to have their hands full. Best we remain spectators.
Exactly!
This might finish off McCain!
Now we see why Rex Tillerson left... no pipeline through Syria for you!
HOORAY President Donald J. Trump! Thank you, sir.
HOORAY U.S. troops!!!
Our soldiers and marines are all that stands between my town's main street and the Syrian army.
The State Department and the Pentagon have another opinion, no doubt.
The US cannot continue to stay in Syria fighting against the Assad government alongside Al Qaeda.
The POTUS himself claimed the Syrian regime along with Iran and Russia were creating a humanitarian crisis in Syria last month even as he said ISIS was the reason the USA was there in Syria.

He was repeating the Al Qaeda propaganda when he said that.
Don't make me laugh. Putin has three goals: a warm-water port, Syria's oil and Israel's gas and oil and the accompanying retention of control of the European market for both, and selling its weapons to Iran--all of which he needs to keep Russia's economy from going completely TU.
And anyone who thinks Trump is going to use the military allocation in the Omnibus for the Wall is missing the big picture.
Plus Bashar is now a nonentity. He was made to stand in the back of the room at one meeting of the other three countries and now is not being invited at all. Because Syria doesn’t exist as a nation anymore, Assad doesn’t really exist as an ally.
