Perhaps Falwell's father's message of the "good news" motivates the son: that repentance, forgiveness and God's redeeming grace can apply to everyone--even those who may run for the highest office in America.

On the other hand, the "other" candidate for that office in 2016, herself, declared millions of citizens as "unredeemable" simply because their consciences motivated them to vote for her opponent. Fortunately, the Creator of the universe never declared that redemption was unavailable for any of His creatures.

Billy Graham recently died at 99. Don Trump and Sarah Palin were invited to Billy’s 95th birtday party. After the dinner they viewed a Billy Graham movie, “The Restless Ones,” after which Franklin gave an invitation. Trump accepted Christ as his Savior. Anything Trump ever did prior to that occasion is totally washed away. Even God doesn’t remember any of it. So whether Trump did it or not, is moot. God has forgiven it and washed it away.
