Beyond Guns: Democrats Introduce Bullet Control Bill

In the wake of the “March For Our Lives” rally Saturday, and with no legislative appetite for more gun control laws, Democrats in both the House and Senate have introduced a bill requiring background checks for purchasing bullets.

“You do not have the right to bear bullets,” said Congresswoman and former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz at a press conference Monday announcing the introduction of a bill that would require instant background checks to purchase ammunition.

The Ammunition Background Check Act was introduced by Wasserman Schultz in the House and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) in the Senate. Like its name implies, it would require anyone looking to buy bullets to be subjected to background checks, similar to the one required to purchase a firearm in the first place.

Debbie. I have enough reloading supplies to supply my whole area with ammunition to fight a war with. Not counting the 15 or 20k that are loaded.

I seriously wonder if there is any group more self destructive than American so called Jews. Two generations after their families were disarmed and marched to be gassed and incinerated, they want to do the same to us. Maybe they just want to be the ones running the ovens this time.

“They never stop do they.”

They never do! I wish our side were as equally aggressive.

All you can do is plan for the future. If you don’t have ammo-loading supplies now, I’d advise getting set up. At least they use the same playbook over and over again so we pretty much KNOW what they’ll try, next.

One step ahead, FRiends. Stay. One. Step. Ahead.

The right to keep and bear arms INCLUDES ammunition. That is like saying freedom of the press doesn’t include ink.

Actually we do as they constitute part of the definition of “arms”.

Its like saying you own your car but not thec car keys.

Bearing arms incldes the ammo for the gun.

Bearing arms included the shot and gunpowder and flints, the Founders didnt separate all that out.

If a silencer is a gun the ammo is too.

Communist doublespeak lawyers.

Well, the upside of this bill might mean that Californica’s “bullet” train will not be built...

It is telling how ignorant liberals are regarding the meaning of the constitution.

How can you “bear” arms if they are unloaded. You can’t “bear” an unloaded firearm. You can carry it, lug it around and move it. You can’t “bear” it.

Stinking libtards just never stop. It requires constant vigilance and a willingness to be a street fighter to counter their perseverance. I hate that the RINOs constantly cave to them.

Arms without cartridges are not arms, they are awkward crutches.

Seems reasonable—simple ID check for ammo purchase, else CCW, and need national CCW reciprocity since we, at least speaking for myself, buy ammo online from out of state. DWS gets her bullet control, we help keep ammo out of hands of kids and felons, and we get national reciprocity. And, that promotes safe gun ownership since CCW holders

Which is why if it is attached to the bill, the Dems will kill the bill so fast it will make your head spin.

Every time I see something like this, it reminds how absolutely vital we keep a conservative majority on the Supreme Court.

Why do they feel the need to bother with “bullet” control? After all, most hard-core gun owners have promised to give the government their bullets first.

If you just look at things the right way, everyone can be happy.

“They never stop do they.”

No, they don’t. I at least admire their persistence.

I’ve noticed long screeds about what the 2nd Amendment means, I saw Cletus’ Fair Use Doctrine argument, and I’ve seen people talk about how guns reduce crime. They are ALL good arguments...if you were in a college debate, or if we were dealing with rational people. But we’re not.

The ONLY argument that they will ever understand goes something like this:

“I have 18 guns. Congress passes a law making 7 of my guns illegal. How many guns do I have?

18. Your move.”

The very simple argument to be used is that there are somewhere between 400 and 600 million guns in this country http://weaponsman.com/?p=33875, likely owned by well over 100 million people. At least 10% are unlikely to EVER give up their guns under any circumstances (except that of their gun being considerably warmer than their rapidly cooling body). IOW, “If you try to take my guns, I will kill you.” Millions agree with that sentiment, and some not-inconsiderable percentage of them will act on it.

Molon labe, bitches!

Not all of us, only the Leftist ones. I belong to a synogogue in Texas where on any given Saturday or holiday, there are enough guns and ammo to take on the Bolivian Army and win (hat tip to Butch and Sundance). A terrorist or someone ele intending us harm may get to us and kill a bunch of us...but it won’t be for free.

Ditto for anyone attempting to get my family and I to self-load onto a boxcar. My family already suffered grieviously at the hands of both Russian and German Leftists (A.K.A. Communists and Nazis), and some MF’ers with similar motivations may get me someday...but their families will never forget that day.
