Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is hailing an extraordinary water-generation technology invented in Israel that he declares "can change the world."
In a speech to AIPAC in March, the Israeli leader told the story of an African woman who used to walk "eight hours a day to give water to her children -- four hours one way to a well, four hours back."
Now, Netanyahu says, an Israeli firm has designed a device that produces clean drinking water from ambient air, literally transforming her life. Netanyahu calls it "technology that improves on Moses."
"You remember Moses?" Netanyahu quipped. "He brought water from a rock.
"They bring water from thin air," he said. "They bring water to Africa, to millions of people in Africa -- Israeli technology."
The news of a seemingly miraculous water-generation device came as no surprise to Yehuda Kaploun and Ed Russo of Miami, Florida-based WaterGen USA. They're the executives running the Israeli company's U.S. affiliate, who had just witnessed the technology's impact in the aftermath of the devastating hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
In August WaterGen CEO Russo, who for decades served as the chief environmental expert for Donald Trump and the Trump Organization, led a humanitarian WaterGen relief caravan into a sweltering, powerless Port Arthur, Texas.

Since water vapor is the most serious ‘greenhouse gas’ it will reduce its global ‘footprint’ and hence glowbull warming!...................
I have one. Its called a dehumidifier. Works great!
___________________________________________________________
While it is basically a dehumidifier it is much more efficient. From what I understand it knows what the humidity is and the air temperature and calculates the best temperature to get the most water out of the air at the least cost. The residential unit is only 300W, they estimate two cents per liter of water. You can’t buy bottled water that cheap at Walmart.
My basement dehumidifier keeps my basement dry but it takes a long time to get a liter. I have 12 KW of solar electric with lead acid battery storage, the water from the dehumidifier is great because it is distilled, perfect for the battery. I can make 60KW a day but if I can’t store it it would be kinda useless at night. In charging the battery you lose a little water so every few months I require several liters of distilled water, I empty the dehumidifier in to old 2 liter bottles and have it on hand and a dry basement. I don’t have to walk 4 miles but it is still cool.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) produce water in arid desert with a working limit of 10% humidity and much reduced output. With sunlight as the sole energy input for an experiment, the material delivered a quarter liter of water per kilogram material in a dry Tempe, Arizona location.
A kilogram of MOF in an optimized system can produce three liters of water per day with 20% RH air. Consumes less power than a refrigeration based water extraction system. Requires a modest temperature differential across the active material for operation. Many types of heat sources may be used.
Engineering is in progress for a similar scaled commercial system which will deliver water at 2 cents per liter. Avoids logistics issues of water transport in extreme climates in which other air extraction systems either will not work or are extremely inefficient.

Try aircon without a power source.

This has been done on yachts for decades ,, solar power for aircon ,, condensate capture for fresh water... not new at all...
Now do it without electricity, cheaply, and few moving parts.
In reality, it’s a clever spin on old ideas, using new materials, suitable for isolated places.
South Africa is lost.
The ethnic cleansing of all but certain black tribes has begun. It will soon be Zimbabwe.
“If you live four hours away from your drinking water supply, might be time to consider relocating.”
You’ve apparently never been to an African city. Some things are worse than scrounging for water.
“What have the Moozlems invented lately?”
A fake country called “Palestine” and a fake people called “Palestinians.”
“Does C-3PO speak Hebrew, too?”
Stephen Spielberg taught him.
Most likely. He's a "protocol 'droid".
“This has been done on yachts for decades ,, solar power for aircon ,, condensate capture for fresh water... not new at all...”
Larger scale, 10% of the price.
Filter for dust, mold spore, and pollen contamination in the condensate?
Could use it on the boat.
I’m guessing someone finally picked up a copy of Dune by Frank Herbert and started reading about how the Fremen get their water.
