Attorneys for Noor Salman are calling for a dismissal of charges or a mistrial after they say new details from prosecutors reveal that Pulse gunman Omar Mateen’s father was an FBI informant who is currently under a criminal investigation.
According to a motion filed by the defense, Assistant US Attorney Sara Sweeney sent an email on Saturday to the defense — in the middle of the Salman’s trial — that stated Seddique Mateen was a confidential FBI source from 2005 through June 2016.
The email also stated that Seddique Mateen is being investigated for money transfers to Turkey and Pakistan after documents were found in his home on the day of the Pulse attack.

The father of the Pulse Nightclub shooter served as an FBI informant for 11 years, according to a federal court motion, obtained by multiple outlets.
Lawyers for Omar Mateen’s widow Noor Salman filed a federal court motion on Monday, saying that prosecutors contacted them on Saturday, saying Mateen’s father Seddique Mateen worked as an FBI source from 2005 to June 2016.
Salman is accused of aiding her husband in the attack on the Orlando, Fla. nightclub in June of 2016, which left 49 people dead and numerous others injured.
She has pleaded not guilty to providing support for a foreign terrorist organization and obstruction of justice.
Salman’s lawyers said they would have presented two theories if they had known about Seddique Mateen’s prior work.
“1) Omar Mateen and his father, rather than Ms. Salman, conspired to support ISIS; or 2) the FBI’s focus on Ms. Salman was based on its own motive to avoid responsibility for its failures with its own informant, Seddique Mateen, as well as his son,” the attorneys said, according to CNN.
Her lawyers have called for a mistrial after they said they received the information on Saturday night.
“It is apparent from the Government’s belated disclosure that Ms. Salman has been defending a case without a complete set of facts and evidence that the Government was required to disclose,” he attorneys said in the motion, according to the network. ‘
That's why I think FL was allowed to happen and NOBODY did anything about the clear and present threat that Cruz was.

I was horrified and wondering why the FBI was allowing them to contaminate such a valuable place to find Clues. Now I know.

Geez, the above sounds familiar with every DOJ/FBI drummed up case against Candidate Trump, his people, friends and family.
And this has what to do with the case at hand?
Not if the FBI/DOJ told the Secret Service that he was not dangerous to Madame Clinton.
He was not a threat to her. He apparently enjoyed being there and close to her. So, she was safe.

Back in the 90s when the militia movement was at its height, the most vocal people who constantly advocated action were the informants and undercover agents. Most White Supremacist organizations are so heavily infiltrated with agents and informants that you wonder if there are really any members at all. I’m sure that other terrorist organizations are the same. Most arrests for terrorist activities are due to someone trying to buy supplies from an FBI or ATF agent. America would probably be quite safe if the Feds stopped trying to catch “the big fish” by facilitating and supplying all the little fish.
