More than 200,000 people attended the March for Our Lives demonstration in Washington D.C. on Saturday, according to Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc (DDIS). The Virginia-based firm uses a proprietary method for calculating crowd size using aerial photos.
The peak crowd size was 202,796 people, with a margin of error of 15 percent, the firm said. The crowd reached its largest size at 1 p.m., according to the company's estimates.
The organizers put the total number of attendees at closer to 800,000.........

I also attended, and stayed by the Capitol’s reflecting pool a bit afterwards to visit with another FReeper for about an hour. Then walked from the Capitol grounds back to Metro. Along the route, there were neatly stacked piles of signs, maybe one to a city block, but nary a shred of paper stewn on the streets, or the Mall itself - just these neat little stacks. It was so impressive.
The following summer there was another rally (around 8/28/10?) by the Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool. Once again, big crowd, and at its end NO TRASH.
Speaks volumes about the people attracted to the two opposing philosophies.
