Yeah I hate that Trump signed the bill, but he didn’t negotiate it or write it. Why does conservative Kentucky keep voting McConnell or Wisconsin pubs elect Ryan in a landslide primary when there was a Trumpian candidate opposing him?

Trump has little to zero support in House or Senate. They ALL want him gone he turded in their punch bowl. And Trump’s voting base is shallow as evidenced by all the quitters.

Trump was going to veto this but Mattis begged him not to and Trump did promise to rebuild the military.

Big loss but I’m not mad at him and I won’t by omission hand the country over to the Dems by sitting out.

“Why does conservative Kentucky keep voting McConnell or Wisconsin pubs elect Ryan in a landslide primary when there was a Trumpian candidate opposing him?”

My guess is the ability of the GOPe machine to control the nomination. The same reason that conservatives here in California got rolled in the primary last time with the GOPe sticking us with Obama clone Neel Kashkari for the Republican nominee for Governor.

” And Trump’s voting base is shallow as evidenced by all the quitters.”

A lot of these crybabies are not Trump’s base. They are our “conservative purist” bretheren who are too good to accept anything but 100% of what they want. And far from blaming Ryan and McConnell and the other GOPe swamp dwellers they are always eager to announce that they are finished with Trump.

“Trump was going to veto this but Mattis begged him not to and Trump did promise to rebuild the military.”

I suspect that that had a lot to do with Trump’s decision.

“Big loss but I’m not mad at him and I won’t by omission hand the country over to the Dems by sitting out.”

Proving that you’re an adult capable of absorbing a setback without giving up.
