There was no other way to get the necessary funding to rebuild a military that was intentionally depleted under Obama.

Trump has: Cut corporate tax cuts almost in half, cut in billions in regulations, enacted tariffs to protect US jobs, nominated the most conservative justices of any President in history, destroyed ISIS, revoked funding for PP internationally and allowed states to de-fund PP. and, now, managed to provided funding to rebuild our military, which was gutted under Obama. Border security and enforcement infinitely better than it was under Obama.

The Republic establishment and its donors are blocking funding for the wall for obvious reasons (cheap labor) and a handful of liberal Senators are blocking the defunding of PP. Trump is using DACA to try to get funding for the wall and worked hard to get an Obamacare repeal passed that included the de-funding of PP. It's absurd to say he hasn't tried or doesn't want to accomplish those objectives.

Anyone should, on balance, be thrilled with what Trump has accomplished in 14 months. It easily surpasses what Reagan accomplished in his first 14 months, But, he needs more conservatives in Congress to get the rest of his agenda passed.

Excellent points. I was in touch with one of my well placed connections in the defense side and there is no ignoring these things.

Good list. But you can be sure that the neverTrump purists can be counted on to ignore all that you just posted.

I’m sure that’s the crowd calling Limbaugh today announcing that this budget is the final straw, and that they will never vote for Trump again. New day, new negativity to sell.

I deal regularly with tech sub-contractors who supply components to defense, and agree with you. Many have said if Americans really knew how badly Obama weakened our military, they would freak out. They are pulling parts off old airplanes to make sure current ones are operational.

I’m never voting for a Republican again. I don’t care if the Democrats win. I don’t see any difference between the two of them anymore. I was willing to support a Trump party, but now I don’t even see any point in that.

The military has enough money. Get more creative and efficient. 800billion until September? How much do they bloody need? If you can’t defend against China and Russia at this point then you never can. This excuse has run its course
