Exactly. He could of stood on principle, vetoed the damn thing, and let the Deep State Congress try and override it. At that point go on national TV and explain to the American people why he vetoed it, and win support for standing up to the real tyrants of America. He lost today and so did we. Can’t spin this one even if it was for the military. I wonder if the fight has gone out of him now. To me he sounded more terse and frustrated than I’ve ever seen from him.

I concur with you. FR has too many that do not comprehend things. I contacted my Congressman about this bill who is very fiscally conservative and normally would have voted no on something like this. Most of this bill was DoD related and very important to our national security. He sent me a very well written letter about why he had to support it. It explained things that I did not know about but in my professional opinion which we cannot ignore nor have delay from a national security perspective. It had to go through.

Do you really think they're going to NOT crucify him because he signed this? They're still going to do everything they can to get him out of this. There's still going to be 99% negative press coverage. NOTHING would have changed if he vetoed it EXCEPT worthless Republicans would have "owned" this bill and not Donald Trump.

Trump will be on the ballot. You’d have to pretty naive to think that won’t change the calculus.
Besides the big push for funding the military, there is more funding for more immigration court magistrates to process illegal immigrants.
And you all get to do it all over again in 5+ short months due on Oct 1st for next year’s fiscal funding.

If that tactic doesn't work, we can also repeat "the lesser of two evils is still evil" and "vote your conscience" until our minds blank.
