They would have to come back to DC..... ofc they would be steaming mad, so an over-ride of the veto would be a virtual certainty.
Stop it already. Trump has done more to push conservatism in DC into policy since Reagan, but signing this bill would be a fatal mistake. None of the president’s 3D political chess games could repair the damage this will cause to the conservative base that has stuck by with him. He has to know all this, and it’s puzzling why he would sign this. It continues the massive pork spending and most of all it doesn’t fully fund the wall. I’ll hold out hope that he’ll veto this bill, but if he signs it then it’s open season on him too!
Worse than that. This morning he tweeted a threat that he would veto it. If he signs it now, meekly, without change, it’s a clear sign that his threats are empty. His opponents in Congress - on both sides of the aisle - will neither fear him or respect him.

I was just thinking that. If he was going to sign it, why rub it in our noses by tweeting and feeding our hopes that he wouldn’t? He’s not that dumb.
The black folder is there on the table with the Porkulus Bill - if they put a chair there for him to sit down and sign it, it’s a done deal. Dammit.
As of now.... There is no chair at the desk where he would sign the bill... let us hope

I’d like to think that for a veto there’s a big ol’ stamp that you can slam onto the bill that says “VETO” in huge letters.
